You Are a Gingerbread House

You are creative and colorful. You like to make things with your hands, and you especially are good at holiday crafts.
You are still a kid at heart in many ways, and you love a good treat this time of year... the sweeter the better.

You have a big imagination and a ton of optimism. During the holidays, it feels like almost anything is possible.
You tend to be a big homebody, and your home is very comfortable. Everyone would like to hang out at your place!

For me...it is a toss-up between caroling and the tree decorating.

I miss caroling. It isn’t really done anymore. Sure, you can formally be with a group that will sing for hospital patients, troops, or such, but...groups of people going out impromptu and singing for a range of people from close family to complete unknowns.

We didn’t do a huge amount, but nearly every year, some group from a large party or something would go out and carol. It would be cold outside, and I always liked in when someone would finally make their way over to a window and look outside...there was something about that that made me smile. The lighting inside had a slight yellowish tinge...I can’t describe it adequately.

As for the tree...I loved that lead tinsel! We used to ball it up in our hand and wing it at each other outside...frikking crazy. Could have killed each other with those things, you get one the size of a golfball...

Hi, Merry Christmas!
You Are Holiday Lights
You are bright, energetic, and ready to do whatever it takes to make the holidays awesome.
You don't ever mind being the center of attention, and you love it when people notice how well you've done something.

You are outgoing and unashamed of who you are. You may have a strong personality at times, but you're okay with that.
People are drawn to you, and you can make friends pretty easily. You are a leader of sorts - just by doing whatever you want to do!
What Holiday Tradition Are You?

I remember every moment of every place I visited in Israel, 30 Years later!

I even remember the FLAVOR of the fish we grilled on the shore of Galilee.

I could fill a book with stories.

We sang a Charpentier piece over three decades ago when I was singing with the Choir at Westmoreland Congregational Church - can't recall the name of it now - but it was most fulfilling to sing it in a liturgy. Entirely appropriate.

It might have been his “Te Deum”.

Another one - I'll have to ask my sister - she was singing with us then and has a photographic memory.
