'Unprecedented': Americans race to dump Boehner ('I've never seen anything quite like this')

WASHINGTON – When John Boehner reconvenes the House of Representatives next month, he’s going to have some mail.

So will every other Republican member.

Boehner won’t like his.

How the other Republican members respond to the tens of thousands of letters they get will determine whether Boehner will remain as speaker.

The Dump Boehner Campaign, a project designed by Joseph Farah, founder of WND.com, is off to a blazing start. Within minutes of its announcement Monday evening, thousands of letters calling on Republican House members to find another leader were already being generated.

In less than 24 hours, orders for nearly 200,000 letters to Republican members of the House were placed, rivaling the launch of the historic “pink slips” campaign of 2010.

“The response has been unprecedented, amazing and gratifying,” said Farah. “I’ve never seen anything quite like this since our historic ‘Pink Slip Campaign’ that ultimately generated more than 9 and a half million letters in 2010. Americans are angry about Boehner’s betrayal of the voters who gave him a bigger majority in the House and Republicans control of the Senate. This could prove to be Boehner’s undoing.”

That depends, of course, on how 247 House Republicans react to the outpouring of letters generated by the campaign – letters individually addressed to each member and personalized with the sender’s name and delivered to congressional offices by FedEx.

“We saw the same thing in 2010,” recalled Farah. “People were angry then. They may be angrier now. It is as if elections have no consequences when Republicans vote.”

A sampling of just how upset people are has been posted online, with abundant promises of “I’m in,” and “Do it.”

“Betrayal” needs to be a word used in every mail item they get.

He’s never seen anything like this

Was he paying attention to the election?

Apparently not

This country is ours, it does not belong to the politicians
And not the media

They can either get a clue or not

Hmmmm...9.5+ million letters in 2010 didn't work, but 400k in 2014 just might be the undoing of Boehner? Seems like some phuzzy math, right there. Common Core, perhaps?

Seriesly, Boehner has been installed for 2015. He won't resign, and he won't be pushed out. The political elites in DC know what's good for us peasants. Now shut up and take it like a RINO.

Boner has to go. So does that other idiot McConnell.

Two unoppositional, roll-over dead losers who tossed out a massive victory and are planning to suck up to the Fuhrer for the last two years of his “reign”.

It's a noble effort, but it's all for naught.

Unfortunately, we're stuck with Agent Orange for bad and for worse.

“Was he paying attention to the election?”

He’s betting it comes down to choice 1 or choice 2 and nowhere else for a voter to go.

Legislators mostly ignore such campaigns.
But if they get genuine messages from YOU, their constituents, they DO respond.

Everyone should be telling their Reps to not vote for Boehner. For their own sakes, for the Reps’ sake, for the caucus’s sake and for the country’s.

The messenger is a problem as a lot of folks have zero respect for WND. Now, can we get Governor Palin and Rush Limbaugh to call for this? If so, Boehner would be gone.

While we are at it, same goes for McConnell.

WND reporting that WND founder’s idea is awesome is top-drawer journalism, all right.

Boehner will be speaker again. It is highly doubtful that anyone will run against him for speaker. To do so and lose is the kiss of death from the GOPe - no committee assignments, definitely no chairmanships or any power whatsoever. The same is true if a rep votes for someone running against Boehner.

There are two solutions to this. Republican congressmen need to grow a pair and deal with the consequences of losing if that happens or have a secret ballot to elect party leadership. I don't like the latter option since I want to know how my rep voted.

The moment after my rep was reelected (actually after I got home from the bar on election night), I sent him an email telling him that in no uncertain terms that if he votes for Boehner that he will never have my support again. Flash forward from election night to two weeks ago ... I heard my rep on local talk radio saying how he doesn't want to vote for Boehner, but there was no one running against him. So the choice was between Pelosi and Boehner and he would vote for Boehner. I can't fault him in that choice, but I still have to wonder why he and other Republicans don't get together and put up some kind of fight. I swear most Republicans are a bunch of limp-wristed expletives.

Conservatives in the Republican Party are just like the Blacks in the Democrat Party!

Our vote is taken for granted and then we are dismissed until needed again.

That mail will all go to a holding facility in Virginia where it will be decontaminated for potential anthrax.

Boehner may see some of it arrive by mid-July.

From WND.com :

The plan had been announced only a day before, with Farah writing that the most effective method of reaching out to Congress is individual letters to members.

His plan facilitates that.

“And when you send one, you send it to every Republican member of the House – including John Boehner!” he wrote.

His program allows people to send all those letters, with their own names and addresses, all for the one price of $29.95 via FedEx.

I have heard similar. No one wants the job.

This is a leaderless party, and no one wants to lead it.

The GOP is not part of any solution to any problem.
