San Diego channel 10 reporting massive internet outage in North Korea
There is an old saying for North Korea, F***em if they cant take a joke.
They have internet in N. Korea?
If we’re talking Canada, France, Russia, or Britain, even a normal political figure in other nations, I agree. We shouldn’t make movies like the one involving Bush.
When we’re talking about a nation whose government is so F’d up it’s people are on the verge of starvation, and it’s causing military problems with it’s neighbors while pursuing nuclear weapons and the way to deliver them on target to the U. S., I don’t object at all.
Let the leadership of North Korea realize how they are viewed around the world. Works for me...
Again, the point again escapes you. Are you that dense?
I didn’t bring the 1st into the discussion. I knew it wasn’t against the law. I knew about the Bush movie. I knew those people didn’t go to jail. I thought it was irresponsible then and I believe this movie is irresponsible now.
My question deals with the “judgment” of making such a movie. Personally, I believe it’s irresponsible.
LOL
Seems appropriate here.
Reported they have 400 computers, which it only takes a few to bring SONY to the brink.
I agree with what you say, but still I would not have censored it.
I don’t believe it should be censored. I just believe it was irresponsible.
I thought the movie about the assassination of Bush was very irresponsible. I knew it wasn’t a constitutional issue.
My issue is with the DOUBLE STANDARD LIBERALS HAVE. Don’t dare make a movie offending Muslims, gays, or Obama.
It was pretty standard propaganda during WWII
A lot has happened since then too.
This will intensify their sense of isolation, alienation, and, of course RONERINESS.
I hope it was American White Hats that did it..
Reality behind the “oh, both computers are down?” comments: NK only has 1024 IP addresses allocated to them. USA has billions.
I'm not sure what you think the First Amendment protects, but in truth it protects other people's right to say something you don't like. If you think it's inappropriate, you can say so, but you'll get push-back. That's what you're getting. You have a right to express your opinion, and I have a right to disagree.
I didnt bring the 1st into the discussion. I knew it wasnt against the law. I knew about the Bush movie. I knew those people didnt go to jail. I thought it was irresponsible then and I believe this movie is irresponsible now.
Okay, then in principle you agree with me. This isn't against the law. Then Sony can exercise it's free will just like you can. Right? You don't want to do something like this, then don't. Sony wanted to, so it was well within it's rights to do so.
My question deals with the judgment of making such a movie. Personally, I believe its irresponsible.
As I said to another poster, if we're talking about civilized nations, I agree with you. When we're talking about a nation whose populace is starving while it acts as a pariah state, seeks nukes and the delivery systems to use them, and causes military skirmishes with South Korea frequently, I think they're fair game.
One thing trumps, I do not agree with blackmail. There are other ways to make your disagreement known. I would not agree with a foreign nation trying to blackmail an entity within the United States.
If North Korea would like to join the rest of us in the enlightened 21st Century, I would appreciate Sony not making a video like this about involving it's leader. Until the North Korean leadership grows up, I'll support Sony.
I will not side with a nation like North Korea against a legitimate corporate entity in the U. S.
That just means that everything is routed through 1024 government IP’s/proxies before you get to the nat’d backends.
Wok dog
Thanks for the link. I watched it. Interesting.
“Looks a whole lot of wag the dog to me.”
Same here.
Looks to me like someone is trying real hard to convince everyone NK is behind the hack on Sony.
