Again, the point again escapes you. Are you that dense?

I didn’t bring the 1st into the discussion. I knew it wasn’t against the law. I knew about the Bush movie. I knew those people didn’t go to jail. I thought it was irresponsible then and I believe this movie is irresponsible now.

My question deals with the “judgment” of making such a movie. Personally, I believe it’s irresponsible.

I'm not sure what you think the First Amendment protects, but in truth it protects other people's right to say something you don't like. If you think it's inappropriate, you can say so, but you'll get push-back. That's what you're getting. You have a right to express your opinion, and I have a right to disagree.

Okay, then in principle you agree with me. This isn't against the law. Then Sony can exercise it's free will just like you can. Right? You don't want to do something like this, then don't. Sony wanted to, so it was well within it's rights to do so.

As I said to another poster, if we're talking about civilized nations, I agree with you. When we're talking about a nation whose populace is starving while it acts as a pariah state, seeks nukes and the delivery systems to use them, and causes military skirmishes with South Korea frequently, I think they're fair game.

One thing trumps, I do not agree with blackmail. There are other ways to make your disagreement known. I would not agree with a foreign nation trying to blackmail an entity within the United States.

If North Korea would like to join the rest of us in the enlightened 21st Century, I would appreciate Sony not making a video like this about involving it's leader. Until the North Korean leadership grows up, I'll support Sony.

I will not side with a nation like North Korea against a legitimate corporate entity in the U. S.

It might be, but freedom gives people the right to be irresponsible. If it really is, then they will face the court of public opinion, and will suffer the financial problems that go along with their irresponsibility.
