Shield your eyes! Read no further! The Washingtonian magazine has revealed some really ugly behind the scenes turmoil and backstabbings that accompained the departure of David Gregory from Meet The Press last summer. The revelations could be too much of a shock for some of you to endure. If the shock doesn't terminate you, suffocation from uncontrollable laughing at NBC's absurd antics could finish you off.
If you dare to read on, you will find out that Chuck Todd was hardly a modest shrinking violet when it came to replacing David Gregory. In fact, he had been clawing for that job since the moment Tim Russert passed away over six years ago. Todd's fervor was matched by that of Joe Scarborough who also coveted that position. These are but two of the Washingtonian revelations about Meet The Press. There are many other juicy tidbits such as the fact that OWS supporter Al Sharpton was hired primarily to enable a corporate merger at NBC. But more on that later as we join the description of Chuck Todd desperately grasping to replace Tim Russert the instant he died in 2008:

David Gregory...He should have been nominated for an Oscar for his work in the Planet of the Apes series....
“...he worried that Turnesss approach was about to turn Meet the Press into a political gong show.”
It would not matter. The only thing the show does is present the DNC.
It is unwatchable at this point. NBC is not presenting news. It is presenting the democrat line and ideology.
~And I’m a former democrat.
It was funny.
MTP is just plain predictable. Like NPR, they have a horrible tendency to interview journalists so they can focus on maintaining the narrative. Politicians sometimes disrupt it.
Journalists aren’t getting any smarter, either. It shows, on a daily basis, for those who can stand to watch...
Did you know they put Meet the depress at 5am in the morning here in Los Angeles market LOL!
Seriously
Their 4 viewers will be very upset to hear this.
They would have earned more credibility if they had just hired Pee Wee Herman.
Chuck Todd? I thought Chuck Schumer was the moderator of MTP.
Just in time for last call.
In Sept 2012, someone brought up Benghazi. David Gregory interrupted and said we get back to that in a minute.
Of course, they never did.
This is why news stories are always biased in favor to a 'black' subject- money. It costs money to defy the race pimps.
Laura Ingraham should host MPR.
Frankly, the show does need a conservative voice. That’s the only way they are going to get ratings.
IMO their advertisers much prefer stupid, gullible viewers. A conservative host would offend such people and also distract from the whole network’s appeal to them.
NBC wants more viewers for their advertisers but they also want the right kind- “dumb sluts”.
It is seriously Cozi TV which NBC digital network show old shows they rerun 2am in the morning before Lassie and Lone Ranger the 1950s version
OUCH
Why just an excerpt?
I saw Chuck Todd for the very first time when he interviewed Cheney. I was truly amazed at his amateurism; I was mentally comparing him to Tim Russett and Todd fell extremely short. You talk about the J. V. team! And I was laughing the whole time for remembering how Rush refers to him. I thought that was his real name.
Personally, I prefer to watch at 2 a.m. in the afternoon...
