TEL AVIV Russia is preparing a contingency plan to prompt Hezbollah and possibly the regime of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad into a direct military conflict with Israel, according to a French official who has been apprised of the situation. The official, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said the contingency was meant to be used as a card against the West, particularly the U.S. and European Union, which has been engaged in efforts to isolate Moscow...

“Vladimir Putin remains one of the only international allies of Syrian President Bashar Assad.”
He’s certainly doing us a favor on that front.
But note from the article that there is VISA-FREE travel between Israel and Russia. We NEVER had that, even in our best days after the Cold War. You don’t engage in visa-free travel with enemies.
You are most welcome! Maranatha!
I agree that Psalms 83 and Isaiah 17 will occur prior to Ezekiel 38. That would explain why they are not included in the Ezekiel 38 coalition.
Arnold Fructenbaum, arguably one of the world’s greatest Escatology Scholars, presents in his book “Footsteps of the Messiah” some really good arguments that would put Ezekiel 38-39 prior to the Rapture because of the 7 year timeframe to clean up the mess and the stability after the conflict. Russia, like the USA, is conspicuously insignificant in the Tribulation/Armageddon scriptures.
The point I am trying to make is that Russia’s current geopolitical moves make the prophesy in Ezekiel 38-39 seem very plausible in the near time frame.
1/3 of the Bible is prophesy, many have not been fulfilled yet. Do you not believe the Bible?
+1 on Fruchtenbaum!
I haven’t read his book “Footsteps of the Messiah” yet, but I’ve heard his argument and it’s very convincing.
Militaries draw up contingency plans for all sorts of things.
When Israel was crossing the Suez Canal in the late stages of the Yom Kippur War Soviet transport and parachute units were being activated in the Crimea. That's when Nixon through Kissinger threatened to bring the hammer down hard.
I grew up with teachers like Dave Hunt and others that put Ezekiel 38-39 in Armageddon. Great men, but it could not be Armageddon because the nations listed are a small coalition and not the “Entire World” listed in Revelation.

Read Isaiah 17...it talks about the complete destruction of Damascus and world opinion turning against Israel as a result.
I hear you and don’t dispute the history. Certainly during the Cold War, the sides could not have been more distinct...but now - it’s getting blurry, at least to me (and especially considering Obama’s vile hatred towards Israel).
I agree with your thoughts as well. There are a few different ways that this could play out...
Jack Van Impe and Hal Lindsey have both talked about this a lot.
Agreed!
To your point, the Bible says that the “Entire World Will Come Against Israel”. Obama is fulfilling God’s Word through the prophets before our eyes!
I got saved after reading “There’s a New World Coming” by Hal Lindsey! You should read “Footsteps of the Messiah” by Arnold Fructenbaum. It is arguably the most complete Eschatology Book!
The Hebrew letter Mem as a prefix denotes from so here it can (and does) mean Gog from Gog, or GeOrGe from GeOrGe.
The Gog wars are the wars of GeOrGe.
Take note! Gog's weapons are already on Israeli soil.

Not unconditionally or literally. If I did I would have to believe the world was only a about 7 thousand years old. I don’t believe that either.
