What is wrong with environmental wackos that they think the laws of physics do not apply to them?
The screwy new fuel cans that have no vent are impossible to use. Supposedly the vent will release something undesirable into the air but as that vent is only open when the can is I cannot imagine having a vent is worse than having the can open. Without a vent, the can sort of glugs splashing fuel about, certainly more harmful that vapors and more wasteful.
Typical moronic ideas based on desires and not reality.
I bought one of these new cans and returned it. Then went to a thrift store and bought two older ones for $4 each.
This is just foolish hopefulness and diversion that is likely rooted in the sole desire to control others' lives just because they can.
It’s almost as if the regulators want civilization to collapse.

Buy the can and a funnel. Ditch the spout.
Best can out there now of the CARB type in my opinion and I’ve used them all.
Because I can’t get my old enviro-friendly can to ever pour without unscrewing the whole lid, I bought a new one. You’re supposed to hold a lever in while pouring. I can’t get it to ever pour no matter how I manipulate it. So, again, I have to unscrew the entire spout assembly and lose plenty of gas because it was not designed to pour that way. I despise the entire green movement.
Don’t worry; liberals will also find a way to stop us from having to pee and poop.
After all, human nature must not be allowed to get in the way of their Green Utopia.
You can buy a kit to install a vent and disable the locking device on the nozzle. I got mine at Tractor Supply. I also look for old gas cans when I go to estate sales. The gubmint can kiss my a$$
Yes, & the mechanisms that open the cap require the strength & dexterity of an 18 YO, which I am not. I imagine some diabled people cannot open them at all.
With the ventless cans, it’s an easy fix to tilt the spout into the tank, start the gas flowing, then punch a hole in the bottom of the can with your knife. It will empty quickly, saving you enough time to search for a vintage yard sale can.
thank you.
See post number 6. After spilling fuel all over the lawn mower I found a funnel.
I really enjoyed No-Spill Jill, but since she never showed it, I can’t say if she has the best can out there...
LOL
You sound like me a couple months ago. I spotted what looked like two new fuel cans in my neighbors recycling bin on garbage day, so of course I liberated them. After realizing what a POS they were I put them back at the curb the next week. If you need your hand and sleeve soaked with gasoline, they’re the perfect tool for the job.
I bought one from Kragen and it had a ‘safety’ lever to enable fuel flow. I took the handle off and removed the lever and mechanism and it worked fine.
Stupid idea, is it supposed to be childproof or something???
Blitz USA Shuts Down
Half Century Of Manufacturing Gone
"Blitz USA, which had about 70 percent of the gasoline can market, spent more than $30 million defending 42 product liability lawsuits after consumers were injured pouring gasoline out of the can onto an open fire, according to the company. That's forced the company to lay off virtually its entire workforce, a few will remain until all of the company's assets are sold off -- robbing them off their pay, their health care, and their stability."
