Mayor Bill de Blasio said this is 'not the time for politics' following the murder of two police officers in Brooklyn on Saturday.
This as New York City's police commissioner said the gunman who ambushed and killed two police officers had made online posts that were 'very anti-police.'
Police Commissioner William Bratton choked up at a news conference at the Woodhull medical Center on Saturday afternoon as he talked about the fatal shootings of two officers in Brooklyn's Bedford-Stuyvesant neighborhood.
Meanwhile, an eyewitness who spoke to The Daily Beast said that 'a lot of people were clapping and laughing' following the murder of the two police officers.
'Some were saying, "They deserved it," and another was shouting at the cops, "Serves them right because you mistreat people!'said the man, identified as Carlos.

The comments on the news sites are very telling. People are fed up with liberals on this issue.
No, tools of the left like you are the enemy.
All, just as objectionable as this event.
It sure was 'time for politics' when your buddy Al Sharpton marched with people chanting "What do we want? MORE DEAD COPS!"
And it sure was 'time for politics' when you embraced him, and did not repudiate him.
DeBlasio, people often get what they deserve, in life. Enjoy the karma.

Garner wasn’t killed, he died.
Obama....Democrat, Hate America, human vermin, De Blasio & Sharpton!!! Send them with Obama & Holder to Cuba!!!
He died.....from being a “Fat Pig” and not taking care of himself. Nothing, but a low life, Obamabot, thug, criminal and druggie!!!
Cops should just decline to investigate any crime involving an inner-city black victim.
He shouldn’t have resisted. I stated that already. But like I also already stated, they should have rendered aid once it became obvious that he was unconscious and unresponsive, and they didn’t do a gosh darned thing. Maybe if Garner had been guilty of armed robbery or murder or something heinous but he was only guilty of selling loose cigarettes and undermining the local tax code-of engaging in free trade IOW. and I think we do our own cause a grave disservice when we ignore the fact that de Blasio had to have been the one who ordered the police to get tough on people selling loose cigarettes and purposely obfuscated the truth in order to deflect attention away from his own role in this. we have an opportunity to slam that POS and Michael Bloomberg too but we’re going to focus on our petty little hatreds instead, just like Al Sharpton wants.

I rest my case.
What Would Mayor Rudy Giuliani Do ?
I have seen a lot of morons posting on USA Today and others sites their support for the cop killer...some of them are using their Facebook id and they have jobs. I think Monday they should be jobless.
WWMRGD ? Bump!
In some ways I kinda agree with what you said, and its sad for a chunk of them dropped the ball years ago.
You know as a person of a similar color I used to believe growing up to an extent that there was some force in the government that was holding these mostly black neighborhoods back from many years ago. Over time I saw brown skinned Indians and Mexicans, Dark skinned Nigerians from Africa, and other foreigners who were poor coming here find success, plus had a dad tell me later on in life that regardless of what he endured in the South that we were lucky to be Americans, thus I started to stop having sympathy for these areas, for my family worked themselves out of it and why couldn’t they I wonder.
Forget about canoeing in NY water ways for a while.
I think he took his pen and phone with him to Hawaii...
Anything you say genius. You should change your screen name to "Sh*t 4Brains".
