Of course they lied.
In other Cleveland news, one of the agitators from Ferguson was rude to a clerk at a Motel 6 last night and during the confrontation the clerk felt threatened and protected herself with the computer monitor.
Now the guy is all over Twitter berating Motel 6 and demanding free stuff and refunds to his credit card. And he's getting it.
If they are blocking traffic they deserve to be run over.
... just wish their work ethic was as good as their protest ethic ......maybe our taxes would go down.
When The Music Stops: How America’s Cities May Explode In Violence
van privilege!
I was going to go downtown today to see my Chinese Herb Doc. Glad I found out about this and postponed my visit! Chinatown, if you can call it that, is intermixed with the downtown ghetto.
The newspaper even points out they "lied"... in the middle of the road.
"Protesters blocked traffic on West 130th at West Avenue. Some lied in the middle of the road."
:-)
People who try to block vehicular traffic are trying to commit suicide.
End of file.
The breaking news I’m getting from twitter is that two Brooklyn cops have been shot in the head while sitting in their car.
Ah! I could have gone after all! Protestors went to the Westside, Lorain and West 130. The White side of town.
FYI...!
Violence is going to be unavoidable. They are going to eventually block some person under stress trying to get to a hospital or catch a plane, and things are going to get out of control because people in general don’t do well under that type of situation. Or the person will get frightened and the situation is going to get out of control.
Someone is going run over one of the dumb asses, and they are going to blame it on racism, not the fact that a person had an important airline flight they could not afford to miss, or a spouse or child in the hospital, or whatever is important.
I personally think all of them, every last one of them blocking the road should, if they do not move off when asked, be maced, tazed, cuffed and dragged off, no questions asked.
And when someone runs over a bunch of them because they start beating or jumping on the car or trying to open the doors or stick their hands inside, they are going to sue and call them a murderer.
I want to be on that jury.
He could have driven rapidly but then his van would have been slowed as protesters got stuck in the wheel wells.
Last night on local news they were showing these fools blocking ramps and one in particular going into SE DC (ACROSS the River). The route they were on is an Interstate.
It will be fun when the ‘residents’ of Anacostia have some face to face with these ‘NW and Georgetown/GWU preppies’ and it comes to blocking their cars or businesses...
That little journey was ‘dicey’ about 10 years ago..Somewhat like North Ave in Baltimore...in the middle of the day you feel you could cut the tension with a knife...
Admittedly some of the trepidation may have been because of anticipation of what ‘could’ happen (IT WORKS IN COURT FOR THEM).
I do carry even in DC (seems you CAN’T(well not supposed to) CARRY where it is needed....
Even though a Pistol is no match for a ‘mob’ may still be able to create enough confusion to make a ‘get away’ if threatened.
Whether you are able to ‘get to it’ in time or not, the mental thought that you at least have ‘something’ is far better than saying ‘If you don’t stop I am going to call 911’ Course calling 911 when in the middle of Indian Country sure gets some weird looks and comments with the first thought from Black AND White Officers -WTF you doing THERE?....
Like JJ and AL Dullton point out - ‘THEY’ have a right to be anywhere in the city at any time for any reason.
‘THEY’ tell me I have the same rights but quickly add.
“You sure look like you know better than to be in that neighborhood, so you deserve what you got”.....
Go figure...
The revolution is going rather well comrades.
We have a new president of the people, unencumbered by an irritating legislative branch and increasingly supported in the writing of law by a judicial branch.
The comrades are having their way in the streets, anti-revolutionaries are being inconvenieced, and bourgois elections are being neutralized.
Going well indeed, comrades!
Long live the revolution!!!
IMHO
“Protesters blocking traffic Saturday on Lorain Avenue near West 130th Street clashed with the driver of a van who drove through their protest line.”
Kudos to this van driver for the public service he (or she) did. Give him (or her) a cigar and the keys to the city (even if the city happens to be Cleveland).
