“Good for them. I oppose dopertarian standards like pro-dope laws.”

I would like to know your prescription for people crippled and hurt with chronic pain. Opioid therapy? How would you help these people? How would you protect those people? People with spinal injuries and bone deformities and nerve pain that never stops.

What’s your solution for them?

Legal drugs.

Now. Do you have any off the wall questions totally unrelated to the thread?

Or would you like to hijack this into a medical marijuana discussion.

I’m going to make my first trip to the local recreational pot shop to pick up an Indica edible for later use (pain relief). Boy, I wish I had this a few days ago. Acetaminophen and Naproxen did nothing. As I mentioned in another thread, the just-retired Washington State Liquor Control Board Chairman!!! did the same thing, purchasing or being given a brownie for knee surgery pain.

I don't really have a problem with legalization of marijuana provided it's restricted to specific states and the states rights of Nebraska and Oklahoma are respected as well as Colorado's. As a recreational drug, it makes one stupid and is a bad choice for anyone looking to be at the top of their game intellectually, academically or careerwise and, as such, is a foolish personal decision. It is one, nonetheless, which only hurts the user as long as s/he stays home and doesn't try to drive.

I don’t buy the analgesic effects of Ganga. Chronic pain is always cited in regards to marijuana, and with enough first hand experience with it, I find those claims questionable.

At this stage in life I have enough experience to know that Ganga as pain management is a scam. I even find the nausea calming effects questionable WRT chemo.

If you want Ganga legalized as a recreational then let’s have that discussion on it’s merits. But don’t try to out flank the discussion with “medical” excuses because I’m not buying it. We might as well be talking homeopathics for legitimate treatments instead of the snake oil they are.

Solution is a doctor for the hundreds affected with terminal illness, and a psych exam and mandatory treatment for the millions of addicts whose lives are ruined by their addictions.

Legalized drugs are brought to you by the same government that is now bringing you death panels instead of health care and a widely expanded abortion industry. A socialistic purge of a kinder gentler form. Why pay for gas chambers to remove “undesirable people”, when you can get them to pay you?

I know, you can quit any time you want, you just don’t want... Meanwhile your life clock keeps ticking silently, as you wear out your couch.

What is the active ingredient from marijuana that deals with the pain?

Seriously, would like to know.

If it can be identified, then extract and administer in pill form.

There are so much pain meds already and I Know this after many surgeries, broken back and yes cancer.\\

Don’t need smoking weed fort he dopes to use as an excuse.
