Best publicity for a mediocre movie Sony ever had. . .
they probably hired the hackers . .

Good point about the insurance angle. That could be driving a lot of decisions.
I wonder if they had insurance for the data wipeout?

All I can think of is Madeline Kahn in Blazing Saddles saying:
“It’s twue, it’s twue, it’s twue!”

I noticed The Interview ad was still running, as of last evening, on SyFy. The advertising was for Christmas Day release.

Londoners were still going to the theater while buzz bombs and V2s were dropping on England to show the Nazis that they would not be intimidated.

Hey! It is a publicity stunt by Sony to cover up a total flop of a picture

Now there’s an idea that could be born in Hollywood—publicity stunt!

Another Madeline Kahn moment that is just as hilarious?
Singing “Oh, sweet mystery of life, I’ve found you!” while hooking up with FrankenSTEEN’s monster (Peter Boyle). Mel Brooks really knew his cast members!
Betty White
Terry Garr
Madeline Kahn
Vivien Leigh
Sex-pots, all.

Ms. Kahn has a classically trained operatic voice.

I am strongly convinced this is not the NORKS but Obama that has done this. He has been in complete cooperation with Sony not to release this movie as Obama has sucked up to and supported every left-wing dictator. There was no hacking, no threats.
In fact, doing this looks very bad for Obama as it can now be said Obama has failed to protect this nation from terrorists. However, Obama does not care about such a fact. He is moving ahead with his handler’s communist agenda.

I suggested
yesterday that SONY simply release the movie on YouTube. Today I refined that opinion to suggest that they use the Google Ad revenue it would generate from free viewings as donations to North Korean Human Rights groups.
Win/Win.

SONY = Japanese/ Country of Japan / Neighbor of NKor.
If anything, this should show the downside effect of what happens when our industries are sold to foreign countries.
