Regardless of the merits of Obama’s Cuba move - it’s certain that no actual new law will be signed. The set of existing laws (or as Obama calls them “laws”) that establish the embargo will just be ignored, while the Chicago King marches forward with memos and phone calls.
Oh great, another million refuges on the public dole just set its wheels in action.
I’m not a student of Cuba, but it seems to be that they would be ripe for a democratic takeover of the government.
That would be a great reason to normalize relations.
