The Obamas talked with People magazine about dealing with their "own racist experiences," as the magazine described.
Michelle Obama told one story that recently took place, even as she was first lady of the United States.
"I tell this story I mean, even as the first lady during that wonderfully publicized trip I took to Target, not highly disguised, the only person who came up to me in the store was a woman who asked me to help her take something off a shelf. Because she didn't see me as the first lady, she saw me as someone who could help her. Those kinds of things happen in life. So it isn't anything new," Michelle Obama, who is 5'11", said.
She also said that her husband, Barack Obama, was asked to get coffee when he was wearing a tux. "He was wearing a tuxedo at a black-tie dinner, and somebody asked him to get coffee," she told People.
The president told his own experiences. "There's no black male my age, who's a professional, who hasn't come out of a restaurant and is waiting for their car and somebody didn't hand them their car keys," Obama told the magazine.
I think it’s telling that the only real world experience Michelle Obama could muster was the one time she went to Target.
I don’t cry too much for the Obamas. As I recall, Barack was raised by white grandparents in Hawaii. His mother was a bank vice president and he attended an exclusive private school. The few years he lived with his real mother, his step father was a ranking official and the family had servants. As for Michelle, I believe she came from a middle class household.
2012 didn’t require voter fraud.
Conservatives stayed home.
And the GOPe breathed a sigh of relief.
Better to be beaten by a democrat than win with a conservative.
No doubt. The country hates him.
A lady at Walmart couldn’t reach an item on the top shelf so I climbed onto the seat of my walker and reach for the item. The lady was black and, it turned out, the wife of one of the dearest people I know. It was a wonderful reunion. These people really need to get over themselves.
reach = reached
How low does your self image have to be that anyone of this would really bother you. They are like 14 year old boys with massive chips on their shoulders, but secretly desperate to be accepted.
I have black friends from Africa who wouldn’t care about any of it, except maybe to laugh.
But blacks from Africa believe in themselves. They are not the perpetual teenagers that you see in American black culture.
You’re almost 100 % right. Except maybe not BS as much as CS.
I’m 6’2” and I’ve been asked many a time to get something down from an upper shelf. I just do my good deed and go on with life. It’s no big deal to me.
Poor Michelle. Life is so tough here. “Let’s move” (I can’t wait).
Oh, that’s right. I forgot about the operation.
Nice little staged event (lie) perpetrated by the democrat lying machine. Forget it bitch, nobody believes you and you are still a lying, evil bitch.
“It was never easy for me, I was born a poor, Black child.”
Yup, I’m one of those evil people who ask other people to get things off high store shelves. I’m 5’1” and recovering from my third shoulder surgery.
If it did happen, did she stop to think that it could have been because she is tall, not because she is black?
A complete fabrication. The Secret Service wouldn’t let someone get this close to her, and then there’s the photographer(s) for this staged outing to make her look like she could relate to average Joe. (I have to self censor now.)
Doug, I believe this story.
It fit Hillary like a glove.
Would be great if this Marine’s CO came by a few minutes later and said:
“Marine, why is their coffee on your uniform and why is the First Lady laying unconscious over there?”
The corrupt criminal affirmative-action hires are shameless racist losers. Their degenerate attitudes are corrosive to society. They are proof that you should never give LIBs any responsibility or authority. These commie clowns are pathetic subhumans. Have a Merry Christmas!
Why didn’t she whine about this a long time ago? I’ll tell why.
It didn’t happen.
