Chippewa Falls, WI Dashcam video has been released that shows the disturbing last moments of a mans life as hes detained by a Chippewa Falls police officer on the way to the hospital.
29-year-old Casey Kressin died after suffering a severe asthma attack when the vehicle that was rushing him to the hospital was pulled over by a Chippewa Falls police officer.
After they were stopped, Kressins girlfriend immediately starts to beg the officer to take him to the hospital. The officer instead calls for an ambulance.
The couple was just 3 miles from the hospital when they were stopped. It took over 6 minutes for the ambulance to arrive.
During the stop, the officer callously listens to the begging couples pleas for help as Kressin slips further away. Hes going to die! He cant breathe! screams Kressins girlfriend. We can hear Kressin begging for help as he falls to the ground, starving for air, I cant breathe ..I cant breathe.
The officer just stares at the couple, telling them to wait for the ambulance. By the time the ambulance arrives, it takes another 2 and 1/2 minutes before Kressin begins his journey to the hospital; sadly too much time had passed. Police say Kressin became unresponsive at that time and was pronounced dead at Saint Josephs Hospital.
Chippewa Falls Chief Wendy Stelter says she stands behind the officers who responded, saying that Kressins girlfriend should not have been allowed to drive the rest of the way because she was hysterical.
However, she was only hysterical because her boyfriend was dying and being kept from life saving treatment that could have saved his life.

I hope you were.
Parking? You're hilarious. In a life-and-death emergency, I'm not looking for parking. LOL
I know what you mean.
It keeps getting more and more realistic/accurate.

Defenders of incompetent arrogance like you do FR a huge disservice!
Police and Firefighters need to be trained to step aside if they are not competent to assist. A man is dead directly, proximately, because of incompetent arrogance.

Oh, come now... if nobody were to defend “incompetent arrogance” we wouldn’t have the Romney-Bots or the “You have to vote Republican!” guys who ensured Boehner got re-elected.
I wish I could LOL...

Oh noz! S and A will not hate. S and A will not hate.
Let them keep their own hate. It will devour them. We be love as best we can while we help them devour themselves.
She would've had to stop the car somewhere at the hospital. As I said, even if she pulled up to the door, she still would've had to run into the hospital and ask for help, or she would've had to somehow help him through the doors and ask for help.
Sorry, but I spent too much time being rushed to the hospital over and over again one year. I even was dropped off at the door of the emergency room a few times. If you really want to laugh, laugh at the idea that you pull up and the hospital staff rushes to your aid immediately. LOL. Now THAT'S funny.
Very distressing.
“Life threatening asthma is a kitchen sink emergency...”
I remember being given big shots of adrenaline at the Fort Meyer clinic when I had a bad asthma as a kid. I’d go from barely able to catch a breath to feeling like superman in about 10 seconds.
Much as I love Virginia it didn’t love me in spring and fall when the pollen load was heavy.
Having suffered from severe asthma in the past I’ll hate him for ya.
Actually, no I wasnt, not at him but the officer who held us up, I was pissed at him. I couldnt blame him for pulling us over cause we were speeding badly but he should have seen to it that I got to the hospital, I mean, you could look at me and tell I was in bad shape.I could hear David telling him to do what he was gonna do with him but first get me to the hospital cause he was afraid I was gonna be blinded. Instead, he kept us hung up there and wrote David a speeding ticket.
Next day when I saw the Chief he explained to me that even though it was an emergency, and that the officer handled it wrong, it was still against the law to be speeding like that. He then told me to tell David to tear up the ticket and he would handle it.
Distinction noted. I’m glad you came through with your vision intact.
