At least the A-Team is fighting. The GOP RINOs are in full CYA mode. The Dems are hiding from their constituants as well. LA Raza thinks that the Dems are not giving them enough.
Don’t Shoot! Cant’t get my breath” Obama cannon fodder are
laying the ACORN organized ground for insurrection so the Dark Lord can declare martial law, postpone the 2016 elections and dispose of all political resistance.
Cruz is right to fight. It is indeed a noble cause.
77 -19
The bill advances.
Cloture.
Now they have to vote on the bill itself.
Cruz takes the floor.
Says point of order is specifically against the Presidents amnesty.
If you agree it is, vote yes. If not, vote no.
Reviews Constitution.
Says it is incumbent on this body to preserve Constitution.
Reid says Cruz is wrong, wrong, wrong.
Speaking now.
Reviews his view of the Constitution, says this is completely without merit.
Leahy says the point of order is well-taken: and the roll will be called.
Roll call first first then vote.
Published: 21:32 EST, 13 December 2014 WASHINGTON (AP) A $1.1 trillion spending bill has cleared a procedural hurdle in the Senate and is headed toward passage.
The vote on Saturday night was 77-19 and sets the stage for passage of the long-term funding bill. Once passed, the bill will head to President Barack Obama for his signature. The bill provides funds for nearly the entire government through the Sept. 30 end of the current budget year. The Senate will be back at work on Monday to deal with remaining items on its lame-duck agenda.
Heh, maybe Cruz doesn't even have to run for Leader...he'll just lead. What? Is McConnell going to get all wound up and slap him down?
Voting on Cruz’s point of order now.
Anybody know if Warren will have a point of order—she has been very vocal up to today.
Roll call is finished.
Compiling vote now.
Ayotte,McCain, McConnell voted against Cruz.
Paul voted with Cruz.
Not looking good.
Well the rhino anti constitution scumbags are on record now..that was the point..they couldn’t care less about the constitution..May history judge them as the cowards they are
MAke no mistake..voting against this means these people do not care about the constitution and the rule of law
Transparency folks...we have a bit now. Time to get to work to defeat these RINO traitors. Thank you Ted!
Thune votes with Cruz.
Hobin votes with Cruz.
Bozeman votes with Cruz.
Grassley votes with Cruz.
Point of order 22 aye, 74 no.
Fails.
Now vote on HR 83. Last vote tonight.
Reid says Senate will continue Monday morning.
This is now the vote on the omnibus bill, point of order has failed.
May history judge these beltway traitors harshly
What does that tell you???!
Keep at it!!
#CruzControl
Half the Republicans were traitors to the Constitution tonight.
Thus, it is apparent that when McConnell takes the podium in January, Reid will mop the floor with him.
The Dims will do what they did 12 years ago—even though the minority, they will bend the Senate to their will, and the GOP will go along.
I want to puke.
But Ted Cruz and 21 other Senators deserve praise tonight.
I don’t think ONE DEM voted with Cruz.
Once again, roughly half of the GOP caucus has chosen to vote with Cruz on a vital conservative issue.
McConnell is not in full control.
This doesn't surprise me but statements like that are just unbelievable.
Where is the place for it then? < rhetorical, I know the answer
McConnell is not in full control.
Good point. And Cruz will have a handful more come January.
McConnell is the Boehner of the Senate. If he thinks he will run the Senate, Reid has other ideas.
May the Lord execute great vengeance upon them with wrathful rebukes.
Make no mistake...This is the face of our foe.
vote is 56 yes to 40 no so far for the trillion dollars-
Disgusting!
Ayotte,McConnell voted yes. Barbasso-yes
McCain and Sanders(!)—no;Wyden, Blumenthal, Markey, Klobuchar, no.Reed and Whitehouse-Dems—no.
Portman-no;Harkin, Boxer, Levin—no.Late Dems voting  becasue it is safe to do so.
Taking final votes.
Final tally:

No:40
Bill passes.
Only needed 51 votes to spend $1.1 trillion. Imagine that.
Motion to reconsider on the table. Roll being called.
If only six more Pubs voted no, the bill would not have passed.
Now they can go home and get some rest. They have served the American people well this evening. NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
They serve themselves and NOT our country or the American people!
