CENTRAL, SC (FOX Carolina) -
A soldier returning home for the holidays to see his wife and newborn baby in Central is being kicked out of his wife's apartment after the landlord said he is overstaying the time allowed for visitors.
Sergeant William Bolt is stationed in Missouri, but his wife has been in Central. She gave birth to their daughter two weeks ago.
Bolt said the landlord at The Groves apartment complex in Central told him he had overstayed, saying visitors are not allowed to stay in the apartments past seven days, per the agreement signed by Bolt's wife, Lily. [snip]

yeah well...with a 2 week old, and her body still readjusting itself ....I’m sure landlord won’t find her all that appealing!
“Maybe thats how you want to spend your Saturday evening but I dont. I tried to be subtle with you in the last message but you didnt get it. I said, f*** o** pr**k.”
Oh, I got your message loud and clear. But I don’t do the personal attack thing.
Oh, I am so proud of you. But you still don’t get it, do you? Give it a rest.
Thanks, this story is awfully fishy.
I took the time to read the contract...
Apparently, the apartments are a “roomate” arrangement, with a shared living room and kitchen with the bedroom and bath private.
I also got the impression that some units are 4 room suite arrangements.
I can see how other female “roomates” might not want a fellow living there long term.
There is more to this story than we are seeing here.
WTH, the HUSBAND is kicked out of his wife’s apartment? The landlord is a jerk. Where was the HUSBAND supposed to go?
“WTH, the HUSBAND is kicked out of his wifes apartment? The landlord is a jerk. Where was the HUSBAND supposed to go?”
He is stationed in another state. His wife is living in a student shared apartment with other girls. He visited during finals week and overstayed the limit according to the policy stated in the lease she signed.
Anyone have the manager’s or the owner’s name or contact information? They deserve a good FReeping!
Just saw the other girls statement. If that is the case the husband should find a hotel room and they can visit there. If I was her roomie I sure wouldn’t want a guy sharing the space especially during exams week.
Thanks for setting the story straight.
“I can see how other female roomates might not want a fellow living there long term.”
Not to mention the disruption a family of three including a newborn baby would cause during finals week.
“Just saw the other girls statement.”
I was guessing that. Where did you see it?
Uh huh.... Like I said, there is more to this story that what was printed.
Fair housing applies to apartment complexes also.
Back in the mid eighties an apartment owner could set aside one building for families and one for folks without kids... but that changed a few years later.
But even in the no kid building there was leeway for kids visiting non custodial parents, and for military on leave.
IIRC the guest rule was for exactly that, guests, not family.
The landlord never charged extra when the family member visited.
And this was in California; personal experience.
“Fair housing applies to apartment complexes also.”
It does not apply to roommates and shared housing such as this.
And did said landlord raise a ruckus about the baby?
The story didn’t pursue that ....
“And did said landlord raise a ruckus about the baby?”
Did her roommates complain?

Madison, is this lady one of the roomies?
Are they coming forward now?
Texas gator,
The initial story didn’t go into whether the roomies complained.
(That’s the problem with journalists today, they don’t get all the info and run with that.... )
“Bets that the landlord is a card carrying Democrat that hates the military?”
Well, no sh*t. I’ll double bet he has a Buttcrack Odumbo poster as well.
“(Thats the problem with journalists today, they dont get all the info and run with that.... )”
Not even mentioning that she lives in a shared apartment roommate style when they state it is her apartment!
