Retiring representative Jim Moran (D., Va.) says that Democrats got virtually everything they wanted in the cromnibus package thats going to a vote in the House tonight, as he praised the bill in terms that could double as the conservative critique of the legislation.
Moran says that the Republicans are indicating they need 80 Democrats and hes frustrated that Democrats wont provide the votes.

Disgusting. GOP are traitors to the election.
Of course they did. Bonehead actually believes that the message of the last election was that the people wanted the GOP to cave to the Rats in the interest of “bipartisanship”.
Hey, Boehner -- GOV'T SHUTDOWN!!!!
(Scared ya, huh?)
yep, and then once this time runs out they’ll say.. but it’s too close to the next election to do anything drastic!
THIS was the time to do something drastic ! 2 years until the next election! THIS is the time to take a principled stand!
and if you fail to retire Nancy Boehner Obama will end up as King or Secretary General of the Country formerly known as United States
All the GOPe republicans asked for in return was more campaign money to defeat conservatives.
Somewhere there MUST be pictures of every one of these ‘republicans’ making it with farm yard animals or SOMETHING!
Big victory for Obama. And an easy one too.
When the car salesman is smiling after the deal, you know you just got taken. Republicans were “had”.
If ever there was a constitutional amendment needed, it is one that forbids legislation to be moved, short of war or catastrophic circumstances, after an election has taken place until a new congress is seated.
The people Elected should be sworn in and start their job the day after the Election .
Just wait and see what the next two years has in store for us. You think its bad now?
I would be 100% in favor a Constitutional amendment getting rid of Lame Duck sessions. There is no reason with modern transportation that the newly elected Congress cannot be ready to go from Day 1 after the election. That is how they do it in the Westminster Parliamentary System. Once the winning party of an election forms a gov’t the politicians voted out of office immediately leave town. You saw this dramatically when Cameron was able to form a minority gov’t after the latest UK election. When he went to the Queen to get Royal Assent to the new gov’t Gordon Brown immediately vacated 10 Downing Street.
I don't think he believes that. I just think that he and the GOPe really want big government, because they want the power that it brings them.
They have no interest in limited government (which means limited power for them).
“The fact that a Congress with no legitimacy after an election is held passes a budget lasting through most of next year is a travesty.”
This is a legitimate act for this Congress. Under existing law, these appropriations should have been voted on and passed prior to last September.
I wish people would stop making excuses for them. They weren’t had. They were complicit. They wanted this to happen. They did everything they could to make this happen.
They missed the deadline. There was an election held so the current Congress has no legitimacy to pass anything.
Here is what will happen in Feb: 1) The RINOs will add an amendment to the DHS bill to prevent Obama from spending any money on his illegal amnesty. 2) If it gets past the Senate, Obama will veto the DHS funding bill. 3) Obama will laugh and declare checkmate on the RINOs by sending the border agents home for lack of funding. 4) Bingo. Open border and mass Democrat celebrations.
Obama’s Chicago Mob has something very nasty on Boehner. There’s no other explanation, because no one could be this stupid in negotiations. If the government had shut down, it would have been the Democrats’ fault. The wusses in the GOP leadership refused to even talk to the conservatives.
This blatant bending over for Wall St. and the Chamber of Amnesty donors is sickening.
