House Rules Committee ranking Democratic member Rep. Louise Slaughter (D-NY) admitted at the opening of the House Rules Committee hearing on Speaker John Boehners 1,603-page omnibus spending bill that nobody had actually read the bill before the hearing.
Theres some things I think I really have to say about this, mostly process, 1,600 pages right here Slaughter said as she gestured toward the bill. Released in the middle of the night. Not one member of the committee has been able to read all the way through it or anything of it, I suppose. No opportunity for public input. No hearings. No committee markups. And no time to adequately consider $1.1 trillion in spending.

Oh please!!! Democrats are going to complain about thousand page bills nobody has read or understands, after they foisted Obamacare on us??? Really???
And remember this is the same Louise Slaughter who came up with the Slaughter House rules in the Rules Committee, which helped grease the skids to get obamacare passed.
Unbelievably absurd.......
Here we go again...
So Boehner and his henchmen have gone full circle and become just like the Obamacare Pelosians. The uniparty rules.
I guess we have to pass the bill before we know through which orifice we were screwed.
Really is there one whit of difference once these rascals reach Washington ???
A pox on them all !!!
Bsstards... worthless Bastards !!
Yes, that includes Kevin M. from Bakersfield.
Denise is making the “clever” comparison to 0bamacare, implying either that we should be outraged at the passage of this bill - I am, actually, but not for the reason she’s offering - or we should shut up about 0bamacare. The latter isn’t going to happen as long it is on the books.
Nancy Bonor is drunk on liberal koolaid.
Then we can advise our alleged representatives...
The House of Representatives cannot only refuse, but they alone can propose, the supplies requisite for the support of government. They, in a word, hold the purse that powerful instrument by which we behold, in the history of the British Constitution, an infant and humble representation of the people gradually enlarging the sphere of its activity and importance, and finally reducing, as far as it seems to have wished, all the overgrown prerogatives of the other branches of the government. This power over the purse may, in fact, be regarded as the most complete and effectual weapon with which any constitution can arm the immediate representatives of the people, for obtaining a redress of every grievance, and for carrying into effect every just and salutary measure [emphasis added] James Madison, The Federalist Papers : No. 58.
In other words, it seems like the RINO-controlled House is giving Obama a blank check with no accountability so that Obama can fund his constitutionally indefensible side projects with no worry that Congress will be able to defund him.
Also, regardless that the RINO-controlled House has read the Constitution out loud at the the beginnings of the 2011 and 2013 legislative sessions, I seriously doubt that corrupt Congress can justify most of the Omnibus bill under its constitutional Article I, Section 8-limited powers.
Congress is not empowered to tax for those purposes which are within the exclusive province of the States. Justice John Marshall, Gibbons v. Ogden, 1824.
Are we having fun yet?
What a mess! :^P
"Why did you have to say that about me?!!!"
"Because, YOU'RE A FOOL!
Stop it!
Republicans and Democrats, both are shit, just different piles!!
put a copy on the web and let the People read it.”
Reading is racist. It’s part of white privilege.
So, put a copy on the web and let the People read it.
Then we can advise our alleged representatives...
Speaking of....here’s a blast from the past...

If she has a problem with it, maybe we shall just “deem” it passed.
