disappointing
he’s running for President, he has to say that.
Shallow.
The key is in the definition of torture, is it torture to subject prisoners to the same thing we inflict on out on troops in training?
Depends on what the definition of torture is in Ted’s head.
If this is based on that partisan pap that Dianne was spewing, that would mean Ted isn’t doing his homework.
Ted Cruz said torture is wrong. I tend to think it is wrong, it is something Nazi Machine did, and maybe other tyrannies, but for a Freedom Loving Nation, we should be above this.
Really? You know in WW2 the enemy soldiers wanted to surrender to us because we would treat them decently?
Torture is simply wrong.
I have very mixed feelings about this - especially when I think of the viciousness of some of our enemies.
But I do think that we have to stand for principles and not just expediency.

I don’t see anything wrong with what he said. He didn’t agree with the report.
Ted had better get his terms and assumptions right quick.
Torture of POWs is illegal and unnecessary and unproductive.
THESE SCUMBAGS ARE NOT POWS.
Back in the day, when rules of war were actually definable, they would be called spies, assassins, and saboteurs. No trial. Caught up to mischief while not in uniform, they could expect no less than to be put against the wall and shot.
These assholes’ lives are already forfeit, by Geneva Convention standards.
I like that scene from “Breaker Morant”:
“Did you discontinue the practice of placing prisoners in rail cars? NO? Well Why not, if you found it so disagreeable!?”.
I think I would rather be waterboarded than killed stone dead with a drone-strike.
Walker 2016....our only hope.
I have a question for Cruz and McCain et al.
If the muslims have your daughter and are going to decapitate her in three days and gang rape her right before they kill her, and the Navy Seals guarantee they can rescue her if they know her location and we have a muslim in custody who knows the exact location, would you be in favor of torturing the guy to get the info?
As for McCain, torture wasn’t necessary. He sang like a canary. Google it.
Actually, he chose his words carefully. He criticized the report as biased and characterized the Obama administration as ‘everything, everything, blame George W. Bush’. While it’s not a complete refutation of the report, I guess I’m willing to overlook that because it indicates to me that he’s running in 16.
