A disturbing conversation with one of my smartest, most astute friends who is from a border state but has been observing race relations for a long time now. He is white. He is definitely idiosyncratic. This, in paraphrase, is what he said:
“I keep reading in the newspapers and seeing in the mainstream media how angry blacks are at whites over the Trayvon Martin case, the Ferguson case and the Staten Island case. And what the media is missing is that as angry as the blacks are at the whites, that’s how angry many — not all — whites are at the blacks. Blacks ask for reparations for slavery and Jim Crow, as if paying today’s twenty-year-old crack addict had anything to do with his ten times removed grandfather being a slave or could make any difference at all to the soul of that slave.
“What I wonder is when white people are going to start asking black people for reparations for wrecking the public schools, for destroying urban life in many cities, for the insanely disproportionate share of armed robberies, homicides, and rapes they commit? When are black people going to pay reparations for putting the whole nation in fear?”
I heard this from a man about my age and I would chalk it up to one person’s oddness except that I hear words a bit like these constantly these days from white people.
Except during the era of school busing in the seventies, I have never heard or seen whites so angry at blacks. Al Sharpton has done what he set out to do and so has Eric Holder. They have fanned the flames of racial anger to a white hot pitch.

Ummmm...I've got black friends and co-workers....that are very intelligent. Professionals!! Doctors, Physical Therapists, Nurses....Rad Techs..etc...etc...

Sorry Ben, but I think I’ll turn it over to Bushmaster and pray for a steady aim for those 300 meter shots.
Most importantly, for every MRAP deployed against the 2nd Amendment there would have been thousands of less defended voters that called for its deployment. If the people who voted to send the MRAP against you are no longer around, the MRAP will just go home.

Won't be locals manning the MRAPS. They'll be from Guatemala and South Central LA and they won't give a rat's behind.
True that, I too have met some wonderful black people who did not have that chip on their shoulders.
On a statistical basis, however, blacks as a race are disadvantaged in a Gaussian distribution kind of way. Many individuals rise above the vengeant tide of mediocrity and are truly wonderful human beings. Sadly, they are the true minority.
How about the $20 trillion the Great Society has already cost us? Can we count that on the payments too?
It is now called the Progressive Caucus. It was and remains an offshoot of the Democratic Party.
They will have a harder time pulling that on Americans than Americans/Russians/British had trying it in Afghanistan.
I'm not pissed. I am resolved. Cold. Calculating. Preparations have been made. No hate. No rage. Just swift retribution. Should be 'nuff said.
Watch the broad brush.

If it comes to jackboots manning armored vehicles, one would be foolish to attack them when they come looking for a fight.
Instead, wait. And wait. And wait. At some point, they have to come out of that MRAP. They will be tired. Not itching for a fight anymore. Just wanting to go home. They will want to be anywhere but inside that MRAP - they wanted a fight. They wanted to hurt people. Not sit in a cramped, smelly MRAP without food or water. Make them stay in it. Don't fight them while they're in it. At some point they have to come out.
Make sure they don't go home.
Of course, if it comes to that...

Oh yea ... I am done with it ... everyone I know is done with it ... Black fatigue has reached maximum levels, and one day soon they are going to push that one last millimeter, and all hell is going to break lose.

Years ago, when I worked in West Africa, my interpreter, a Mr. Dau, was, hands down, the most intelligent man I have ever known. He had graduated from several European universities, and could discuss anything you cared to discuss in any of five European languages. One day, in one of our many discussions, he so astounded me with his summation that I blurted out, "Mr. Dau, in my over fifty years living in the United States, I've never met an American black man with your level of intelligence.
In response, Mr. Dau replied with the question, "Why do you think we sold them to you?"
