GOP sinking on a ship of timidity, squandering historic win
The Washington Times ^ | Tuesday, December 9, 2014 | Charles Hurt

Barely one month ago, the party sailed to victory in one of the biggest rout election waves of the past century. They ran the board and took control of the U.S. Senate. They grew to historic levels in the U.S. House. The Democratic Party was left in tatters in state, local and governor races across the country.

But today, just a few weeks later, before GOPers even take hold of their new reins of power, the party is crying poverty. They are stricken with paralysis. House Speaker John A. Boehner, known for his weeping, begs powerlessness.

“Frankly, we have limited options and limited abilities to deal with it directly,” Mr. Boehner said last week when asked about President Obama’s unconstitutional executive action to grant amnesty to millions of illegal aliens presently living illegally in the U.S.

“Limited options?” “Limited abilities?” We have an unbridled madman in the White House right now taking a machete to the U.S. Constitution and the leader of the opposition party that was just thrust to power in a historic rejection of the president and his cleptocratic policies is now talking about “limited” options and abilities?

Funny, I don’t recall a single Republican running in a single race this year on a campaign that Republicans in Congress have only “limited” options and abilities to stop Mr. Obama. No, in fact, every single one of them ran their entire campaigns on the singular promise that we have to vote for Republicans so they could stop Mr. Obama. And Americans voted.

They re not going to overturn anything. The current CR Boehner just released has a billion, yes a billion, dollars in it for Obama’s care for the illegals.

The GOP leadership is like the dog who chases the car and after years of effort he finally catches it and now doesn’t know what to do with it.

I think the fear of losing thie Jobs need to be louded expressed to each and every member of the Republican Caucus in the House of Representatives.

And I MEAN EVER ONE OF THEM. National Campaign to hound each turncoat for the Next two years for their treachery.
Don’t them see the light of day without it being pushed in their faces.

Expose them as whores for Agricorps, Chamber of Commerce.

Frankly, Mr. Boehner, I'll have limited options and limited abilities to show up at the polls in 2016, if you and your GOPe pals don't git 'er done...

I think I'll be washing my hair that Tuesday. :)

In view of the recent election you seem to be joining Gruber in declaring the American people who voted, well...Stupid.

I would agree that the "woe is mes," are pointless--a waste of energy. Clearly the answer to those who have little sense, no guts & really no future, is to continuously discuss the underlying issues, with arguments for which the Left has no answer. If we do that well enough, a tidal wave of a heightened awareness will drive the gutless wonders into either changing their tune or going into hiding,

This is where the dedicated few--such as Ted Cruz--come into increased prominence. Not because we like them; but because they know how to employ the arguments for which the Left has no answer.

No, that point is not conceded by the media--or the gutless wonders, for the moment in charge. But note that the efforts to marginalize the dedicated few, almost never include actually answering those sound arguments. The consist more of the same sort of raised eye-brows, pseudo-intellectual distractions, and other arguments by non-sequitur, by which the academic Left has misled students since the 1930s & '40s.

The answer is always to persist in the arguments that are actually relevant--the arguments for which the Left has no answer. Eventually more and more people will listen, until eventually the dam will break, and Socialist appeals to envy; crackpots pursuing "diversity," while actually undermining it in their pursuit of uniformity; fantasy seekers calling for new World Orders, etc.: will all suddenly find themselves with the same level of credibility, that those claiming a flat-earth and geo-centric universe achieved, when the public suddenly realized that Galileo knew what he was talking about.

You do realize this was going to be the case no matter what? Without enough votes in the Senate to overcome a veto, there isn’t much we can do.

At best, we can stop his legislative agenda and hopefully temper a likely almost guaranteed SCOTUS appointment.

You can take it to the bank, you can make book on it, that they will not be overturned, My FRiend. I understand that the Elite Republicans will tell you, right up to the first Tuesday in November, “Elect us and we will overturn/repeal them”. And on the First Wednesday in November, their will be “Screw you, we know best, get back under the porch until we call you”.

Of course there is. Push the impeachment win or lose. Get it ALL out there in the open and let the whole world see these communists for all their crimes.

But Jon and Mitch want him protected. And people are gutless cowards. So we all get to sit here as serfs.

And that billion dollars was just to “re-settle” the 56,000 “kids” that came across the border from Central America last summer. Near $17,000 per disease-ridden “kid.”

Boehner and the other GOPe scumbags are all on the take from the U.S. Chamber of Amnesty.

If Boehner and the GOPe wanted to do something, they could....the House controls the purse strings. Refuse to fund amnesty, Obamacare, etc. Won’t happen, because the GOPe are all spineless traitors on the take.

I laugh at our frustration because we were taught by the best and still have no clue. So I will ask the question of all of you. How do you change things when your vote doesn’t matter?

You go after their benefactors. What Reagan has taught us is to win a war you bankrupt the enemy. That’s what he did to the Soviets with a 600 ship Navy and SDI. He forced the Soviets to decide if they want to eat or fight. They backed down.

So, what do we do with the RINO’s? Pick a politician. Let’s take John Boehner. One of his largest donors is Comcast. Comcast has several million subscribers, I am sure a bunch of them are here. We pay about 100 a month for Comcast services. Let’s say every good conservative with Comcast decided they no longer wanted the service. Would knocking a couple of million off of Comcasts bottom line impact Boehner? Especially when it is made public that we won’t use Comcast as long as they are funding a liberal? You Betcha.

That’s what Reagan would do. How come we don’t? We saw what the impact was when we supported ChikFilA. We have the money. That’s why they want to take it from us. It’s the only power the middle class really has.

I say it’s time to use it and really change Washington. Question is, how do we get something like this socialized?

The House could do plenty if they wanted to.

The control the purse strings.
