Newt won SC and then morons here decided, after he made a speech about the space program, that he must be a socialist, so we needed to back a feckless PA senator based on nothing but his religion and how cute his kids were, instead of knocking Romney out in Florida after gaining major momentum from South Carolina!
Let’s just see if anyone here is going to repeat the stupidity in 2016.

How times change - I remember when many considered him to be a viable candidate. Here’s hoping that those we want actually throw their hats in so we can support them and get them on the the ticket.

Santorum couldn't win his home state of Pennsylvania. He was popular for a time as its senator, but I guess people got tired of his smug arrogance. I know I did.

He got TROUNCED by the equivalent of a mannequin(Robert Casey) in Pennsylvania. That should be the FIRST and only question he is asked:
Rick you were defeated 59% to 41% in your last election as an incumbent. You lost to a man with the personality and charisma of a grapefruit. WHY ARE YOU WASTING YOUR TIME, AND EVERYONE ELSE’S TIME, BY RUNNING FOR PRESIDENT?

I was thinking the same thing. He needs to stay out of the race just like Romney, Huckabee and Newt.
I would really like to see Ted Cruz give it a shot but he needs a smart campaign team and a lot of money behind him. I also like Scott Walker as well.

how many did Romney “win” by default after other candidates failed or were driven out by his big money?
Romney just goes to show that no matter how much money you have, you can’t buy the presidency if the candidate’s heart isn’t in it to win it, and Romney’s wife had more spirit than he did
That Romney! What a firebrand he was when debating that wimp obama! sarc

Two of those states were in Newt’s backyard. At least half of Romney’s 37, including Santorum’s home state of Pennsylvania, were after the contest was over.
