The GOP’s draft 2015 “omnibus” spending bill reportedly includes $948 million to help poor and unskilled Central American migrants establish themselves in the United States, but includes no effective restrictions on President Barack Obama’s plan to provide work permits and tax payments to millions of resident illegal immigrants.
That new spending works out to $16,928 for each of the 56,000 youths, young adults and children who crossed the border during the 12 months up to October 2014.

Why should they? We showed them during the last election enough of us will hold our noses and vote for them just because they have that precious (R) behind their name. I am sure some worry they might be the outlier that loses their primary, but truckloads of Chamber of Commerce cash makes that unlikely. They look at their base the same way Democrats look at inner city minorities, “Who else you gonna vote for?”

Anyone on this board or elsewhere that still has ONE iota of faith in the GOP as “principled conservatives” or hell, even “opposition party” or “the party of responsible adults” needs their heads examined. The GOP has shown itself to be just another part of the problem since regaining the congressional majority in the house 20 years ago. I was done with them permanently in 2004.
Wishful thinking, willful blindness, or holding your nose for the “lesser of two evils” is no way to piss away your precious votes, my friends. And continuing to vote for the klepto-crats and hooli-cans dishonors the good people that died to make sure we can participate in the Kabuki theater every other year.
