"Voters are stupid" economist Jonathan Gruber and Marilyn Tavenner face Issa and the House Oversight & Government Reform Committee today on C-SPAN 3.
FOX News reports that Tavenner has asked that she be seated anywhere but next to Gruber. Apparently, Gruber is radioactive. Time will tell whether this affliction is covered under Obamacare.
He’s trying to plead the 5th without pleading the 5th.
He’s afraid to talk.
Chavetz: “I’m not interested in talking to your counsel. I’m asking you.”
Apparently, “Take it up with my counsel” is the new Fifth Amendment.
Is Gruber getting frustrated?
Chaffetz grills Gruber on documents and Gruber says take it up with counsel.
Do you have documents?
Gruber - yes referring to what is in front of him
Chaffetz : Do you not understand the question
Gruber: take it up with lawyer
Walberg up! (MI)
Maybe one of the late night shows will put together a montage of “take it up with my counsel” statements from this hearing.
You're being generous.
Jason Chaffetz-wants documents regarding what he was paid by the stupid taxpayer. “Take it up with my counsel.”
He should only have to do that for testimony that may incriminate him. For now, he's not under consideration for indictment; Congress is only "investigating" and providing oversight, as they should be doing Constitutionally.
He looks like he is scared ****less.
Where is Connolly going with this?
Wow, Chavetz pounding the bastard who will not answer whether or not he will provide documents to the committee that were paid for by the taxpayers.
Committee now talking about subpoena.
Ah, back to Romney again.
I’d hand write a subpoena and ask the committee to vote on the committee.... and then hand it to him.
Connolly on Romneycare documents indicating pattern
Connolly, so we have electrodes implanted in our brain because we want to know the truth?
Yes, interlaced with brief interludes of veiled snittiness.
Gruber claims he met once with Romney about Romneycare and once with Obama.
Who would believe this crap?
