... along comes Barack Obama, with the kinds of gifts that appear in politics but once every few generations. There is a sense of dignity, even majesty, about him, and underneath that ease lies a resolute discipline... he has a quality of thinking and intellectual and emotional honesty that is extraordinary.
... a man whose honesty about himself and understanding of the human condition are both deep and compassionate.
Obama has emerged by displaying precisely the kind of character and judgment we need in a president: renouncing the politics of fear, speaking frankly on the most pressing issues...
... the natural grace, the eloquence, the wit, the intelligence, the hope of a new generation.
We need to recover the spiritual and moral direction that should describe our country and ourselves. We see this in Obama, and we see the promise he represents to bring factions together, to achieve again the unity that drives great change
We need to send a message to ourselves and to the world that we truly do stand for life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness...

Wenner was just looking for a date.
He’s a convert to homoism, ya know....
yes as ive put it before on the hype that is a Obama
Another Bandini mountain of bullshit, the Mount Everest of bullshit
Dope and Mange.
LOLOLOLOl! I can't stop laughing...
Reading that piece of drivel makes me feel like I'm covered in KY.
“honesty that is extraordinary. ... a man whose honesty about himself “
unfreakinbelievable
His “Majesty” turned out to be the Master of Disaster.
Unlike Star Wars obama was no Luke Sky Walker, just Darth Vader in a new mask and there will be no redemption.
Jann S. Wenner.......gazing deeply into a toilet and thinking it’s a crystal ball.
“I see something! I see something! It’s hope and change!”
“Rollingstone” has been promoting the destructive agenda from its very beginning.
Spiritual and moral direction? He has been looking for them on golf courses all over the world, kind of like OJ.
And honesty, like you can keep you doctor, and not one smidgin of corruption, but that list is too long.
We can only hope.
Unfortunately, I have seen politicians with the same "gifts" appearing around the world several times in my lifetime. Fidel Castro, Hugo Chavez and Kim Jong-un are a few that come immediately to mind.
Was about to say the same thing. But we got a wannabe Palpatine instead.
People had to have their common sense surgically removed to buy any of this humid tripe.
One thing that still gets me is how even many, ahem, so-called conservative voices fell for this nonsense back then, in 2009, after the election. That is, not necessarily endorsing him, but coming out and saying how Obama was a smart guy and was “going to govern from the middle” and such. That Obama wasn’t going to veer to the far left, and it wouldn’t make any sense for him to do so, blah, blah, etc. Krauthamer, George Will, O’Reilly, and endless others.
And the (very) few people that weren’t buying in to all that, and were very vocal in sounding the alarm bells about who and what Obama was, from Rush to Palin to Bachman and such, were really, really labasted at the time.
Rolling Stone magazine apologized this last Friday for the discrepancies in the phony rape story and regret their lack of effort to confirm the facts supplied by the author, especially and including, choosing not to get the alleged perpetrators side of the claim.
So the question is this, when is Rolling Stone going to apologize to the public for their failure to vet and perform any background checks on Barack Obama in 2008 before putting out this puff piece on, who has become, the worst president in memory?
All I hear are crickets chirping.
Honesty? Really?
What kind of grades did he get in college? Only a failure would hide them.
Remember the back and forth about Bush and Kerry’s college grades during their campaigns?
Where’s your little mascot???
This reads like something Josef Goebbels would have written about Adolf Hitler ... except that Goebbels was a better writer.
