I cant imagine living in Ferguson or any of the other hot spots where the massive protests/riots are going down. Especially, if I had a family. And double especially if I was a single mom with kids. Good grief. I cant fathom the fears that smack must spawn in the noggin of the concerned parent.
Yep, if I dwelt in any one of those locales, with my family, Id be so on edge regarding the well-being of my brood Id make Scott Stapp look like a chillaxed Gandhi smoking some strong ganja.
Look, wherever one comes down on the Ferguson issues, if youre honest and you live in close proximity to that mayhem, youve gotta feel more vulnerable than a teenage girl being babysat by Lena Dunham, because the present mobs are three bubbles off-level and theyre indiscriminately breaking and burning crap and injuring innocent people.
Indeed, across this nation, not only in Ferguson, the fever pitch is hot and I dont foresee this dying down anytime soon, especially when you have the likes of de Blasio and Oblasio passive-aggressively stoking this stuff with lies, half-truths and innuendo to the easily influenced, low-intel vandals who have way too much time on their hands.
So what does the concerned parent do?
Well, given that it's Christmas time, Id ask Santa for three things, namely: peace on earth, goodwill towards man and a machine gun.
Now, parent, say for some reason Santa doesn't get your email or text or he doesnt exist like some doubters claim, then I would do the following until peace on earth and goodwill towards man occurs:
Pony up the cash and get a gun or guns. Its your job parent to protect your household. Period.
Get stacks of ammo (remember your gun is useless without ammunition).
Become crazily proficient with said weapon or weapons. Give the gift of burning lead at the range and hiring an expert to show you the ropes.
Make sure your sane and responsible offspring knows how to wield them effectively as well.
Id seriously consider doing whatever it takes to physically remove your family from nutters whove got no problem whatsoever burning your house, or business, or car, or body down to the ground because some stooge like Al Sharpton told them to.
Yes, I know what I just advised costs a lot of cash in an abysmal Obama-economy and that moving is a pain-in-the-ass; but hey such is life. God never said it was going to be easy and common sense dictates to the parent whos worth their salt that protection is part of their job description. So get equipped.
Speaking of protection, my youngest daughter, Regis Giles, creator and owner of GirlsJustWannaHaveGuns.com, has just signed on to narrate and star in a new documentary, produced by the folks who brought us such great films as Hating Breitbart and UnFair: Exposing The IRS, encouraging women worldwide to become proficient in self-defense and be victims no mas. You can check it out here.
Merry Christmas.
I agree the 30-06 is a tempting bolt action/ reach out and touch cartridge. So is the 270. But the .308/7.62 NATO is common AND I have a nice AR in .308 with 50 mm 4x10 Nikon. Amazing rifle. Plus a simple and reliable Remington 770 in 308. We are good to go.
9mm may be popular and plentiful, and we do have three XDS compacts in 9mm, but it just doesn’t have the effectiveness of a 45 ACP HydroShock. P220s in .45ACP are the interchangeable pistols in the safe and vehicles.
Thank you for that information. The first link, especially, seems to be spot on to what I have been looking for.
And...don't need "das papeiren"
I think you’re not getting my point. .308/7.62X51 are the .30 caliber of choice these days. I own one, and that’s the one I shoot most often. My point is, go into a hunter’s home in the USA, and you’ll find a 30.06 rifle and a couple boxes of ammo.
Logistics...
80% of police officers in the USA are carrying 9mm
Logistics...
I shot lots of machine guns while working for my Uncle but he was paying for the ammo. They’re fun to shoot but expensive to feed. I’ll stick with semi-auto now.
BTW, that was “Uncle” Sam.
Got ya.
Actually here in Georgia probably 60% of the deer hunters use a .270. .308 is second.
308 is good for hogs, deer, coyote, and ‘’ferals
Actually, I would say that the federal gun laws affect ALL of us, because those who WOULD be MG owners have mostly been priced out of the market. The last 80 years of the NFA has left a terrible impact on our 2nd Amendment rights, its time to repeal that b**ch!
What the link tells me is that there are only a few places doing the casting/forgings and 99% of the manufacturers are just machine shops from these few foundries.
Once you do the first one...you’re hooked on it. So, enjoy yourself, it’s easy, most of all.. welcome to the addiction.
BTW their stuff is first quality, not blems.
This law is clearly unconstitutional.
The part that stickles most people is the ban of a felon forever from having a weapon of any kind.
Many transgressions today are felonies and once you've served you time, you should be able to have a gun ... or many guns
I agree, a constitutional right like gun ownership cannot be taken away.
If someone is so dangerous they shouldn’t be allowed to own a gun, then they should still be in prison.
Frankly, I’ll be surprised if they even TOUCH it.
