I think VC/Wapo readers (including those sympathetic to Ms. Dunham) would be interested in your thoughts on whether Barry One (as the Breitbart article refers to him) has a potential cause of action against Lena Dunham and/or Random House for negligence, [intentional infliction of emotional distress], false light, libel, whatever (assuming he can prove that he did not rape or otherwise have sex with Ms. Dunham as described in her memoir). At least to me, the question of whether an author can be held liable (consistent with the First Amendment) for intentionally or unintentionally (but negligently, if proved) ruining an innocent persons reputation or life, is very interesting . And in the Breitbart article, it mentions that Barry has hired a lawyer, so legal action may be being contemplated (in the Kevin Williamson piece in National Review Barry expresses that this is taking an immense, negative toll on him and his family).
A very interesting question, to which it turns out that theres a good legal answer (assuming we can figure out the facts).

Dunham specifically wrote her story to avoid such a suit. She made sure the false allegations could be traced to this specific individual but put in just enough bogus facts that she can say she was never referring to him.
Probably would rather the thing just go away.
But it never happened.
these are false allegations.
And every Barry in that class at the time should
Sue this see you next Tuesday.
The only sex she had was when she molested her sister.
‘Barry’ would be too embarrassed to admit he touched this skag.
Who is Barry ?
Barry says he didn’t know her, and has never even spoken to her.
For a few million dollars I could swallow my pride...
Individuals like Lena Dunham, her parents, and sister are obsessed with sex and sexuality. I believe her father is an artist that paints pictures of female genitalia. In the same respect, these people consider themselves intellectually elite--yet, they obsess over an act that in it's most basic form is an instinctual, carnal, and physical desire that requires no logic, analysis or any rational line of thinking. It is basically giving in to an animalistic desire--for the lack of a better phrase.
I don't see how writing about, drawing, or speaking about sexual acts constitutes an enlightened worldview, or an intellectually superior worldview. There are moral restraints that inhibit us to act like animalistic barbarians and those restraints shape our views on sex. Those restraints require rational, and logical thinking. The total opposite stance of what folks like Dunham espouse. Seems to me they believe as the Romans did, that during sex you're achieving some kind of higher consciousness when really your brain is being soaked in Dopamine and all rational, logical, analytical thinking is completely abandoned.
worse yet- he’d be admitting to have sex with that pig...
They want to collapse Civilization.
