Tenuous similarities given my limited understanding of each incident.

Another headline says he died because he was fat.

If only the nation would go along with the First Lady’s dietary plans he would be alive and well in jail.

How ‘bout, he chose to resist arrest, and he chose a poor diet. Or is there too much personal responsibility involved in that statement? If you’re fat, don’t resist arrest.

He was killed by a choke hold.

The problem is the police pretending it was not a choke hold when it choked him. If it choked him, by definition it was a choke hold.

This does not bear on innocence or guilt much, IMO, but I wish they would stop denying it was a choke hold.

Ridiculous comparison, Brown attacked the cop and the cop was fighting for his life, this other guy had just broke up a fight as a citizen, and as Mark Steyn just said, he wasn’t “resisting” arrest, he was “objecting” to arrest.

The cops had all the manpower and time in the world, the man didn’t have to die in their impatient, over reaction, the one cop seems to have made a deadly mistake.

Precisely. Don’t want to die today? Don’t break the law and attempt to assault the arresting officer. St. Brown punched, while St. Garner slapped. Live a happy life, don’t assault cops who are enforcing the laws.

The cops ought to let black areas alone. Let them live their life of hell. Simply prevent them from breaking out into non-black areas.

I must say that I am uncomfortable with the idea that we should die if we ever resist the Police.

BLAME OBAMA
BLAME THE BLACK ACTIVISTS WHO PERPETRATE THIS
BLAME THE MEDIA

Here’s what I mean: Obama could have made a big difference in the black community. He could have stood up and told black families they needed to get their lives in order and start by teaching their children to obey the laws and live morally.

He could have taken a stand against black people who think they are above the law…oh wait…guess that would be hypocritical of him. Hmmm

Let’s see…Guess Obama couldn’t be much help to the black community because they would only say he was hypocritical.

Black activists, Obama, the media all of them are responsible because instead of sticking up for the person trying to carry out the law, they stick up for the law breakers.

They could have said STOP resisting arrest. They could have said, “If you are innocent you will later be found innocent. But do not fight the police because then you are breaking another law.” If they had taught them these things and used the previous high profile cases to teach the black community to make changes in the black community, less of this would happen.

Tell them to take responsibility for their actions, tell them to say sorry, tell them to repent, tell them to turn the other cheek, tell them to not loot businesses during earthquakes or other goings on. Tell them to start living productive, fruitful lives earning wages legally.

Eric Garner and Michael Brown . . . broke the law — petty offenses, to be sure, but sufficient to attract the attention of the police.

Having been strong-armed and robbed by thugs, I don't consider this petty. Michael Brown was an evil bully and a criminal; the world is a better place without him. Good riddance. Do I feel any compassion? Oh, yes! I feel far more compassion for the victims of thugs like Michael Brown than they will ever receive from the pseudo-compassionate liberals who automatically defend criminals with no thought for the victims.

In my opinion, once a police officer is cleared of any wrongdoing in a fatality that results from resisting arrest, then the cause of death on the Death Certificate should officially be changed to “Suicide by Attacking Police” ... or SAP for short.

He wasn’t selling stolen goods. He was selling his own cigarettes. If selling something privately to bypass taxes is worthy of having 4 cops pile on top of you, all Ebay sellers should have swat teams sent to their door.

Resisting arrest! Ding, ding, ding!

When the officer says get on the ground, get on the ground. You are NOT going to win! LOL
