That means that the United Nations (UN) should also be speaking to India (has nuclear weapons), Pakistan (has nuclear weapons) and South Sudan (planning a nuclear program) as these three nations (like Israel who has nuclear weapons but doesn’t advertise it) have not signed the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT). Of course the UN has conveiently forgot North Korea who was a signatory until 2003 when it withdrew from the NPT.

Seems the UN is singling-out members for speeches, pep talks and some sort of vindictive while being silent on others.

Israel won’t listen, but it makes me angry to read the U. N. taking Israel on over this.

Israel has been responsible with it’s technology. The U. N. is seldom responsible about much of anything.

Dear UN:

Sorry. We think nuclear weapons are neat, for us that is. You see, if Iran develops a nuclear bomb and launches it at us, we will immediately lob one right back at them, and another towards Mecca and another towards Medina. Since you have failed to stop them from developing one with all your pretentious ‘diplomacy,’ that is the only option left us, Mutually Assured Destruction as a deterrent. If, on the other hand, we do as you ask and renounce nuclear weapons, then when Iran develops a nuclear weapon, there will be no deterrent in place to stop them from launching it, and the rest of the region will have to find a counterdeterrent PDQ, or they’ll be next and they know it, triggering an arms race that could see the entire Middle East paved with glass one day real soon, including us. Instead, we got the counterdeterrent right here. So long as Iran does not decide to blow up the ‘third holiest site of Islam,’ as they are fond of calling it, we’ll all continue to breath in and out, including us. We like breathing in and out a whole lot. A promise 72000 virgins couldn’t get us to voluntarily trigger nuclear war. Maybe, just maybe, the Iranians or enough of them feel the same. So take your calls on us to renounce nuclear weapons, your idiocy du jour, and run along and play, leaving the adults to take care of business.

Now just a cotton pickin’ minit here. Let’s be fair. The UN is responsible for raping young girls and boys in both the Middle East AND Africa, as well as many beheadings, at least partially for Iran’s unstoppable rush towards nuclear weapons, and the rise of DAESH. About the only thing that they are responsible that was worthwhile, recognition of the State of Israel, is the only thing about which they are profoundly ashamed. That, of course, is understandable. They have so very little shame, that they must use it sparingly.
