David Ruenzel knew, better than most, about the white privilege that killed him.
As a writer for the Southern Poverty Law Center, one of this favorite topics was rooting out racism. And how white racism is permanent. White racism is everywhere. And white racism explains everything.
This mantra of the Critical Race Theory and the Southern Poverty Law Center applied to all white people because, even if they were not personally cracking the whips, or breaking the skulls, white people benefitted from a racist system that did all that and a lot more.
Ruenzel was writing about white privilege for the Southern Poverty Law Center as far back as 1997 long before it became the rage at college campuses, newsrooms, churches, high schools and even grade schools.
By the time of his death, Ruenzel had accumulated many of the trappings of the white privilege he exposed: The job. The home. The intact family. And most importantly in his case, white privilege endowed Ruenzel with an expectation of safety in the Oakland neighborhood where last week two black people are suspected of killing him.

This reminds me of a story I read about an animal rights activist/wildlife photographer who had been taking pictures of a momma grizzly and her cubs out in Yellowstone Park. At first, the bears had backed away when he was there, but after a few weeks they seemingly became more comfortable with his presence.
According to his friends, he'd been documenting this bear family for about a month, every day moving a little bit closer to the bears. His friends said he told them he thought that he and the bears had become "friends", so he was in no danger.
One day, the bears, using their less sophisticated-than-this-animal rights-weenie binary logic, finally figured out that unlike some of the two-legged creatures they'd seen before, that this human was not a threat, so he must be food. So, they ate him.
I must admit, I laughed my ass off when I heard about it.
That's kind of how I feel about this story.
Karma is a b*tch.
It is considered “alt right”.
I’m warning you that not every important thing falls within the scope of man to figure out from private first principles.
God, most notably. God will not be treated as a theory. God must be a postulate.
Well, it was TWO Black guys, so in a very “technical” way that does somewhat make it an Eeeeeeevil Corporation that killed him.
Actually, it's a good number of those self-exalted "geniuses" even on this board who mistakenly try to extrapolate the simple matter of one's skin color to an inherent inclination to commit crime.
Through their own practice of the tyranny of lowered expectations they themselves are responsible for perpetuating broad misconceptions peddled largely by today's liberal class:
Statements such as these typically come from flawed Darwinian assumptions based as they are on writings of Wallace and Darwin (Darwin particularly in his "Decent of Man") and parroted in fashionable academia by contemporary evolutionists like Huxley, Haeckel, and others of their clearly bigotted acolytes and eugenists.
Absolutely simplistic, and a deceptive misrepresentation on so many levels, yet strangely some calling themselves conservatives around here buy into the liberal academic pap as perpetuated by a liberal media culture as well as the psychobabble of those calling themselves "Intellectuals."
Coddling ANY defined subgroup of human beings in a way that causes them to become dependent on another for their subsistence merely exchanges one form of overt slavery for another regardless of one's skin color.
Consider the writings of Booker T. Washington, who wrote not only the famous, Up from Slavery, but also wrote in My Larger Education, Being Chapters from My Experience(1911), in chapter 5 "The Intellectuals and the Boston Mob":
The tyranny of lowered expectations as expressed by those calling themselves "conservatives" is no less disdainful and simplistic than the same position as promulgated by Darwinistic liberals.
And I will challenge those who espouse Darwinistic liberal philosophy every chance I get.
FReegards!
All of those misconceptions actually have statistical correlation,
but it’s not a causation.
Believing there is a causative relationship actually IS racist.
Good riddance.
Your facts make people mad.
Thus they are hate facts!
Thanks for the info. I’d never heard of Unamusement Park before. Went and browsed around and it appears to be a very informative and fact based site. Many here would benefit from a visit.
You raise an important issue.
There are theories that say this behavior is not cultural but organic.
Remember talk of "the Warrior Gene"? Well, they don't talk about it anymore as it is politically incorrect: It turns out that scientists now know that there are genetic markers for both "poor impulse control" as well as "high testosterone", and they are much more prevalent in certain demographics.
These findings provide a genetic basis for the understanding of the behaviors you reference.
It's part of the Human Biodiversity Movement (HBD).
I would say IQ has everything to do with all culures, so yes.
Your cryptic responses indicate perhaps a lack of understanding. Are you really saying that acknowledging the fact that most criminals fall into a specific IQ range and then noting that most blacks fall into that same range and thus arriving at the conclusion that low IQ in the black race is the cause of unusually high crime rate among blacks somehow solves a mystery that God didn’t want us to solve? Am I to ignore my own God given ability to reason and learn by experience? I know that a venomous snake will bite me and kill me so I avoid them. Should I not? Speculating on the origins of the universe or debating the existence of dark matter might possibly be one of the things “within the scope of man” to not figure out, but observing human behavior and reacting accordingly probably isn’t one of the things God didn’t want us to do. We were after all told we would know them by the fruit they bear. If the fruit is rotten I avoid it and I will not tell others it is good.
They were only a few percentage points behind white people prior to the great society in terms of 2 parent families and their income gap was rapidly closing. The more often than not lived amongst their own race and subcultures, but everyone else here has done that, and it doesn’t get messy unless the government starts screwing with it.
People are people. A ton of other different cultures and people ended up here also, and they (among them black people not imported involuntarily) don’t have any issue here unless they don’t assimilate into AMERICAN culture.
Black people in America have been specifically targeted by the left and elites as a guaranteed 10-12% vote base with clearly disastrous results for their demographics.
Well worth repeating when the accusation is made. May I?
Oh absolutely! I exhort EVERYONE to “cut to the chase” when discussing issues with “liberals”.
“Let’s start with the understanding that your belief system is based on being anti-Christian, and everything else makes sense.”
Agree with you for the most part but a statistical correlation drawn in this context on the basis of one's skin color is a passing one at best, and as you note not causative.
A more relevant statistical correlation would likely be drawn on the basis of one's worldview and faith walk rather than skin color or geographic location.
Man's propensity for sin exists across people groups regardless of skin color, and a high IQ is hardly indicative of one's inherent morality. In fact the criminals with the higher IQs are likely to be the ones who cause the most societal harm.
It's bigots who try to link skin color to misbehavior and/or stupidity both associatively and reflexively and their blighted perspective is borne of their simplistically liberal, if not entirely Godlessly inclined intentions.
FReegards!
You treat it as veiled rather than open. That speaks volumes about your condition, not mine.
