Now this Ferguson Mayor James Knowles told FOX 2 anchors late on Monday night that he had repeatedly requested the National Guard Monday night But his requests were ignored.
I know Ive been on the phone in contact with the County Executives Office. I know he has requested. I am requesting. Ive requested the National Guard troops to come out from their command post to help restore order along the business district. We have not seen that
Those calls have gone unheeded at this point
We need to have the governor step up and give us the resources that hes promised from the beginning. He said he would have a strong response. The resources necessary would be provided. They have not been provided so far.

Has Nixon resigned yet?
It appears the Governor was in CYA mode when declaring a state of emergency to deflect any criticism of his actions when the SHTF.
Same as the savvy prosecutor who referred the case to the grand jury to prevent himself from being Nifonged.
wow! Don’t even know where to begin except say at bare minimum your mayor, for all her claims to the contrary, doesn’t seem to think much of her black constituents. The way she tells them what THEY think comes off so condescending. But judging from the comments she may have wrongly sized up not only the entire situation but the citizens as well. We shall see.
What do you think? Will they bite and get together for some “peaceful protests” in Rochester”?
isn’t it unreal how much the RATs all over the place are trying to force peoper in to the streets for some cause that really not many people seem to think is worth it? By unreal I mean totally within character for obama, holder, Sharpton.
I thought he resigned in August 1974
The National Guard is under the jurisdiction of the governor. The mayors may request help, but they certainly cannot just order the NG to come to their aid. What else did the mayor do to bring calm? He seems to be letting everybody else do the dirty work.
What didn’t help was his reaching out the the Browns, saying that he was going to bring justice against the officer. That was irresponsible at the very least and gave the impression that he thought the officer was wrong. He does not have the right, regardless of his position, to appoint guilt. We have to stop that nonsense that black youth are never guilty. How are they EVER going to grow up and face the responsibilities of LIFE, of we never let them face the consequences of their bad decisions?
They don’t have to marry the mother of the children they sire, they don’t even have to pay child support. They are footloose and fancy free until they get into trouble, but then it is always someone else’s fault, not their own. It is a travesty, what has happened to the black families. It was NOT this way when I was growing up. Thanks to Saul Alinsky, who decided that the way to conquer America was to destroy the family, especially the black families who were VERY strong. They succeeded magnificently. Probably well beyond Alinsky’s wildest dreams. Johnson’s welfare program saw to the utter destruction of the black family, and every other family that gets caught up in welfare system for any length of time. Obama, being the Alinsky student that he was, has only compounded the situation by taking away any prerequisites before a family can go on welfare and now they don’t even check to see if you are telling the truth. Hence the welfare fraud system that outweighs the good done to those who really need the help.
We really need to have political reform in every area. No one should be allowed to serve on the same elected job for more than 1-2 cycles. It creates a sense of power that is almost always abused. This mayor abused his elected power. When he appointed blame to the officer, he was giving the go-ahead to whatever the end results would be. If this is his first term, I pray the electorate vote him out, as he is not worthy of the job. If he has been re-elected, then he has given reason for his removal the next time around.
Thanks for the heads up.
