School kids are giving thanks to first lady Michelle Obama just in time for the holiday with a sarcastic Twitter hashtag about unappealing school lunches.
Along with photos of unsavory-looking school meals, the hashtag #ThanksMichelleObama was among the top trends on Twitter within the United States for a time on Friday.
While many schools have put the standards in place successfully, others have said some of the new foods end up in the trash can.
The White House didnt have an immediate response, but an Agriculture Department spokesman said most meals arent as bad as the photos depict. USDA oversees the school meals program.

The one good thing this is teaching kids is that liberals screw up everything they touch.

It’s excellent that students are getting a first-hand lesson in the blessings of socialism and state control in their formative years. Nothing will foster a yearning for true liberty better.

“AIIEEE! Soylent Brown is People!”
My dog threw up.
They served a Thanksgiving meal at the nearby elementary school last week. They invited parents and grandparents to come eat with their students. It looked like a good amount of guests showed up. I thought that maybe the food would be good. Lol. I asked the children about the food later in the day, and they all exclaimed, “IT was NASTY!” Lol. The meat was rubber and inedible. I am not sure if anyone tried the dressing. I do have to say that this particular school usually has a good selection of fruits and salad for anyone who can’t stomach the rest of the slop. I have not eaten at this school. I have watched children push the food around on their plates often. The school held their Thanksgiving meal for two days in order to accommodate those parents who could not come on one day but could come on the other. The second day, they served ham and rolls. Those actually looked edible. My daughter said the ham was disgusting. I think it was cheap Horner turkey from a can. Kind of gelatinous. But it did look ok. I was with preschool aged children that day. They ate it. And they ate their fruit.
My observations at this school are that the children can take two and three servings of fruit if they want. Most of them eat their fruit. They will nibble on corn or green beans, but they won’t touch the salt less and mushy broccoli. They will eat the hamburgers and hotdogs though they claim those are awful. They really like taco salad days. Some pizzas they like. Then sometimes, they won’t touch the pizzas.
These children are given free breakfast upon arrival at school. The school starts serving lunch at 1015. The children then have a snack time. Three eating times in 7 hours and thirty minutes of PE. It seems like the whole school day revolves around eating. It is crazy!
Horner turkey was supposed to be Hormel ham from a can. Lol.
Confinement loaf.
SOYLENT BROWN
