Students who oppose gay marriage are homophobic, according to an audio recording of a Marquette University instructor who went on to say that gay right issues cannot be discussed in class because it might offend homosexuals.
I reached out to the 20-year-old student at the center of this outrageous episode and the story he tells should serve as a warning to anyone who thinks religious schools are safe havens for open discourse.
The story was first reported on a blog run by a Marquette University professor and was picked up by the good folks over at The College Fix.
The young man, who asked not to be identified, explained what happened when his ethics instructor, Cheryl Abbate, led a conversation in “Theory of Ethics” class about applying philosophical theories to modern political controversies. There were a list of issues on the board – gay rights, gun rights, and the death penalty.
“We had a discussion on all of them – except gay rights,” the student told me. “She erased that line from the board and said, ‘We all agree on this.’”

But actually Obama has done exactly that for 6 years and he has had the acquiescence and assistance of democrats in congress and the senate in doing so.
In fact, he could not have taken the unconstitutional acts that he has without them and their willing support.

Party loyalty and allegiance is supreme and demanded by party leaders. To democrats, obligation to the party comes before and above any other, including the oath they swear to uphold the US Constitution.

Conservative Jesuit college is an oxymoron.
While I can certainly understand people opposing Islam’s tenets, I can’t understand why anyone would join a larger group (headed by the likes of this nut, and various other liberals having their way with feminism, abortion, homosexuality, affirmative action and such) to fight Islam.
Our government regards my minor male children as more of an enemy than Islam; I ensure they are aware of that.
PhD student? Masters in philosophy? That is some kindergarten level philosophy right there. No real concept of what dualism is, and no grounding to the thesis. Just some incoherent babbling, fueled by liberal talking points, and disguised in big words.
Jesus is quoted in Matthew chapter 19 that from the beginning of humanity, it was God’s intent that marriage would only be one man and one woman. In Mark chapter 10, Jesus stated that God, not man, joins the husband and wife and the two are “one flesh”, an act that by its very nature can only be heterosexual.
God defines homosexual relations as against His law, that is immoral. In Revelation 21:8 and 22:15, Jesus tells us that
anyone who practices sexual immorality will not be granted eternal life. In the book of Hebrews, the Apostle Paul
states that God will judge “fornicators and adulterers.” But those decrees are outside of the bounds of secular
government. We cannot make law based on it.
Because too many government officials are now hostile to how God defines marriage, government is being used to force me
to recognize and even enable “marriage” that God tells me is morally repulsive. Just as we have a separation of church
and state, we must now have a separation of marriage and state. When marriage is a private matter, then anyone can
enter into any manner of relationship they please, but they cannot use government to impose their definition on others.

This bigoted university teacher would melt like the Wicked Witch of the West if her students firm in their Christian faith, could defend its principles, and our nation’s founding philosophy.
