Arpaio Filing Lawsuit Against Obama For Executive Actions On Immigration

Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio announced Thursday evening that he is filing a lawsuit against President Barack Obama for the executive action he is taking on immigration.

[snip] “He speaks a good game and I understand where he’s coming from in a way. On the other hand, let’s not con the American public. How are we going to keep track of these 5 million people?” Arpaio said.

[snip]rpaio stated that his lawyer was filing the lawsuit following Obama’s speech and that no taxpayer funds will be used in the lawsuit.

“We have to understand whether this is constitutional or not, whether he is going around Congress is legal,” Arpaio explained to KNXV. “I’m going to send a message that we’re not going to give up, that this does affect the streets of Maricopa County.”

NO. He did not threaten the Minute men and militia.
What he did was warn them that his deputies out in the desert doing the job the Federals do not, were in hyper alert mode and might mistake them for human and drug smugglers.
No threats, but a warning.
As someone who lives along the “Smuggler’s Super Highway” and is armed to the teeth, I appreciate that. When I see deputies, BP or BLM Rangers, I make damn sure they know I who I am and that I am just there to assist if needed. No Problemo.
I have some issues with Sheriff Arpaio, but this ain’t one of them.
