A 23-year-old woman was arrested for carrying an unregistered 9 mm handgun near the White House late Thursday evening.
She has been identified as April Lenhart of Mount Morris, Michigan.
Lenhart was participating in a demonstration along the north fence line of the White House when two plain clothes agents observed the firearm holstered on her front hip.

Hahahaha! Wait until there are 200-300,000 or more.
“... The right of the People to keep and bear arms shall not be Infringed “.
These guys MUST start doing a better job. (I’m not talking about the SS)
“...when two plain clothes agents observed the firearm holstered on her front hip.”
I bet that got exciting in a hurry...
I didn’t know guns had to be registered...
I bet that got exciting in a hurry..
I guess that's one way to figure out how operations work within striking distance of the White House.
Oh, I thought they had constitutional carry in DC.
We don’t even have pistol open carry in Texas!
It may be coming.
On her front hip? don’t know much about anatomy, didn’t know there was a front and back hip.
If only.
HAHAHAHAHA.
Good one.
“I didnt know guns had to be registered...”
You frequently see this in news articles. The only explanation I can think of is that reporters think all guns are supposed to be registered. They have only the haziest understanding of how anything works and what they know about guns is entirely from a left political view. I think we can be fairly certain that no Secret Service or police agency gave them this wording. When reporting on guns reporters reach into their shallow bag of over-used stock phrases which are designed to signal “guns bad” “no guns good.”
It’s good to make a stand...but en masse. Poor 23 year old girl is in jail by herself. Someone posted something about 200000 more. Now that would be making an indelible statement.
Six states and the District of Columbia require registration of some or all firearms (Hawaii & DC require all)
Hopefully that is going to be fixed soon. I was thrilled when Mississippi finally fixed the "Left-wing judge loophole" that made constitutional open carry possible. Have yet to have anyone swoon/die/call the cops when they noticed my weapon on my hip - heck, have shot the breeze with a number of folks with the weapon never becoming part of the topic.
Sort of like how guys from the news, and Hollywood, refer to gun magazines as “clips”
