Gun sales have increased at a staggering rate in Ferguson, Missouri, ahead of a grand jury's decision on whether or not to indict Officer Darren Wilson, the cop who shot dead unarmed teenager Michael Brown.
Steve King, the owner of Metro Shooting Supplies in nearby Bridgeton, says he has sold 250 firearms this week.
That is a 700% increase over the 30 to 40 guns the store typically sells in a week.
'These people are afraid,' he told The Washington Post.
'One hundred percent of them are buying because of Ferguson.'(continued)

I love how this bit subtly implies the supporters of Darren Wilson will get violent if he goes to trial.
I really like reading the comments from the UK. Usually they’re hilariously clueless on the subject of self protection. This time, they seemed to be more intelligent than usual. The comments weren’t as funny, and the red and green arrows suggested the readers are a better lot than usual. But there was still one gem that gave me a good belly laugh. Somebody said that with all those gun purchases, when they don’t get to shoot any bad guys, the gun buyers will start shooting each other and robbing each other. It was nice to see that got more red arrows than green, while still giving me my “stupid liberal” fix.
Agreed. I hope the bad guys are hearing about this and that it makes them think twice about doing something stupid, but I'm glad people have some protection if they don't.

Could be. But even if there are riots, I don't think it'll work out to Obama's advantage. He understand liberals and inner city thugs; he doesn't understand the American people as a whole. Too many people have his number now.

Catch 22: you must be crazy if you’re a law abiding citizen in Missouri and don’t already own a gun. If you’re crazy, you can’t buy a gun.

I know this may come as a surprise but liberals are gun owners too. Im sure they’re beating just as big a path to the gun stores as conservatives b/c of the promised rioting.
Ive never really understood why liberals vote for people who are committed to taking away their right to own guns. I suppose they don’t understand it either but it seems to not keep them from voting democrat.
