On the eve of the Rochester by-election we take you through the Ukip policies and positions which have caught the imagination of voters.
Deport migrants
Mark Reckless, the Ukip candidate in the Rochester and Strood by-election, has raised the prospect of European migrants being forced to leave Britain if Ukip wins power.
Mr Reckless said workers from the continent would only be allowed to stay in Britain for a fixed transitional period under Ukip plans to end unrestricted migration from the rest of Europe.
He said the party would be willing to look sympathetically at people who have integrated.
The remarks were seized upon by rival candidates as evidence that Ukip wants to make migrants go back to their home countries.
A spokesman for Mr Reckless insisted the proposal was common sense and humane, and insisted he does not want to round people up for summary deportation

That’s why our two (uniparty) party system stinks.
As for #5 . . .they may need to temporarily buy into that 'friendship with Putin' tactic in order to fully achieve point 1, but danger lies in the reality of UK's socialized government will too easily succumb and negate any opportunity for #2 (re-arming the citizenry).
And why the hell not ?
Visa in order or bon voyage.
That’s what the discussion is about. He is talking about deporting legal immigrants from Europe, who have a right to move to any European country and work there.
We don't hold the politicians responsible for violating the constitution. We don't even tell them we are unhappy with them for doing it.
You may be able to save England yet!
He is talking about deporting legal immigrants from Europe, who have a right to move to any European country and work there, once their respective visa/etc has expired.
A world of difference, that.
A view from over the pond, with fervent hope that we'll someday find the balls to do similar here:
1) Round up & deport all currently undocumented invaders
then
2) Get the UK out of the EU
then
3) Find some way to strictly enforce the time limitations on all future visas
Not #6.
Nuts.
They’ll stop being ‘extreme’ once the voters vote for them.
Dude.
Now they are making up names outright.
Mr. Reckless's spokesperson, John TotallyOutOfControl, stated that Reckless would be appointing Janice WeAreManiacs to Judicial, Thomas ImmigrantHatingBastard to Border Control, and Samuel FecklessTwit to Treasury.
Self-preservation of your culture IS extreme to those that want to destroy it.
Remove the subversives, then remove their parasites, and take your country back.
All anathema to Leftist thinking.
Hope you can do it.
People who have been in a new country for seven years and still think of the old country as home, who refuse to integrate, and who refuse to assimilate have no business staying in a country that doesn’t fit their values. After that much time, they should have a choice: assimilate and pass a citizenship test, or leave.

Do third world muzzie yoots fall under “European”?
Handguns, or most of them, have been illegal on the UK mainland since 1997. They are perfectly legal in NI and in the Isle of Man. Handguns up to and inc .22 are legal, as are some other kinds. Most UK guns are and have always been rifles and shotguns. Handguns really only started being popular in the 80s due to US TV and film, the Dirty Harry films etc.
The media assaults on UKIP are just getting started
Agree.
At my local gun club, I was surprised to learn .44 calibre black powder revolvers were still legal but single shot .22 calibre pistols were not. The former shoots a big, hefty bullet too that could send a man flying to the other side of the room. Just shows how ridiculous and ill thought out our gun laws are. They don’t even make sense.
Nigel FARAGE has stated that Eastern Europeans already here can stay. Lucky for me, as my girlfriend is Polish.
True.
