More than twelve years after The Cosby Show went off the air, series creator Bill Cosby is in the headlines once again, as multiple women step forward to accuse him of perpetrating sexual assault against them in the past. But RadarOnline.com has learned that one of the only women ever to pursue police action against the controversial comedian has remained silent for years — after the New York District Attorney declined to prosecute the case against the star!
Only Radar has obtained the shocking police report from the night he allegedly subjected her to “sexual contact” in his Manhattan apartment.
Lachele Covington was just 20 years old – a bit player on The Cosby Show – when the series creator invited her to dinner in his Manhattan townhouse on January 28, 2000.
Though he’d allegedly said the meeting would be business-related, she claimed it quickly turned personal.
Cosby “tried to seduce her in an intellectual manner and professional manner with his charm,” her dad, Joe Covington, alleged at the time. And according to high-level police insiders who spoke out at the time, he then tried to put her hands down his pants and exposed himself.
Covington filed a police report four days later alleging that she had been “subject to sexual contact.”
Even though the report did not name Cosby, Radar has learned that his name was only omitted to protect his celebrity status.
In addition, in a statement to Det. Jose McCallion of the Manhattan Special Victims Bureau, police insiders previously claimed she said she “had been invited by Cosby to his home for dinner. The victim said that after dinner Bill Cosby came over to her, and started touching her. He fondled her breasts. She was shocked and didn’t know what to do. Then he tries to put his hands down her pants.”
Cosby’s spokesman David Brokaw said, at the time, that while the two had had dinner, “He denies that anything inappropriate happened.”
What’s more, Cosby insisted: “It’s not true.”
But Covington’s father insisted she had not lied. “I’ll bet Bill Cosby could not stand in front of my daughter and say to her face she’s a liar,” he said in an interview with The National ENQUIRER. “My daughter does not lie. You can take what she says to the bank.”
Added her grandfather, Charles Keniebrew, “Bill Cosby scared her half to death!”
Cops referred her complaint to the D.A., but they declined to prosecute.
Covington has yet to speak out in this latest round of accusations.

No, not decades ago, his 2006 settlement was for an event in 2004.
A police report was filed by a 20 year old woman in 2000.
LOL, I don’t think it works that way, not only would that be a first as far as we know and about the most hit and miss sting effort around, but no DA would want to attempt it on a protected celebrity like Cosby evidently, judging by the way he has been protected.
Based on the timings listed in the article, I think the writer is confusing the show “Cosby” with “The Cosby Show.”

Many here have taken on the attitude:
- it’s not about guilt or innocence, but the seriousness of the charges, or
- if the same thing is said again and again, then it must be true
So there are a dozen or so women that have come forward. Not one of them sought medical treatment. All claimed to have been drugged...no one even got a blood test. Sorry, multiple witnesses is NOT evidence (See Ferguson). And “witnesses” who could have a potential financial gain in a civil suit have nearly zero credibility.
The timing of these allegations, after Cosby spoke out against the Ferguson terrorists, is indicative of a smear. Some Freepers are helping with the smear.
Long before the retched Bad Judge or Grey’s Anatomy, and even before her recurring character on The Drew Carey Show, Kate Walsh was trying to make it in show business just like every other actress.
When she was still young, she thought she got her big break. She was cast for an arc on The Cosby Show. At the time it was the number one show on the air. Kate was set to play a friend of Lisa Bonet’s character and was also going to be moving over to the sitcom Different World with her.
This was a big deal. Bill Cosby was involved in every step of the casting of the role and told Kate he wanted her to cut her hair short and dye it blonde. He then suggested other changes to her physical appearance and she does them all.
After he has turned her into what he considered ideal he then tried to get Kate to show her appreciation by hitting on her and trying to have sex with her. When Kate refused, she was fired from the show.
Cosby was so ticked off that they even hired another actress to take Kate’s place and shoot the scenes that Kate had already shot.
I don’t have 18 cases of sexual assault allegations against me do you?

This is one of those stories that the media keeps squelching, just like they did with Jesse Jackson and his child support, when the story broke out, they then claimed that it was “old news” that everyone already knew.
The problem on these threads is that a few people are simply covering for Cosby rather than letting this story unfold.
As I look at the growing body of information, it looks to me like Cosby has some explaining to do, the National Enquirer sure called his bluff on the threatened 250 million dollar lawsuit.

Post 51- Your post—there are a dozen of women from your own post / own words that are accusing Bill Cosby of rape and your defense to show some thread of insanity to express these thoughts that these woman are not credible because he spoke against Ferguson troublemakers. I think you need to take a break because your judgment is not even credible. It’s wrong for anyone in power to manipulate a person in these cases of rape.
