On occasion in my email, I get messages and questions regarding my JEFFHEAD.COM site and the various pages on it. Some agree with what I say, some do not. Sometimes I get rousing hoorahs, sometimes profane denouncements, other times messages seeking information or clarification.
I received a message seeking info/clarification today. It reads:
JH,I responded to this individual with the following email...and hope anyone reading this will carefully consider the response and feel free to pass it on to as wide an audience as possible:
Did t'he Book Audacity of Truth have a statement that immigration was a burden to t'he US?
If so, Can you PLEASE send me t'he quote.
Thanks

Rml4u2cu,Folks, we have a set of circumstances in this nation where in mid-term elections this year we overwhelming elected a particular party to both the US House and the US Senate precisely to derail and forestall the activities of this current, disastrous administration.
First, I know of no "book," called the Audacity of Truth.
I do have a page at JEFFHEAD.COM called the Audacity of Truth. It lists issues with Barack Obama. As to immigration, I have never claimed, nor do I claim, that legal immigration is detrimental to the US. It is not. It has been a great boon to this nation. My own ancestors on my mother's side came to this nation as legal immigrants in the 1870s and then again in the late 1890s. On my fathers side, my ancestors came to these shores in the 1600s.
Having said that, ILLEGAL immigration is definitely detrimental to the US. When illegal aliens or groups of them come into the US without documentation and outside of the legal process, it creates several very detrimental conditions. To name a few:
So, legal immigration, where legal immigrants come to this nation according to law, who are assimilated into our society, pay their taxes, learn the language and the laws of this nation, willingly take an oath of citizenship to affirm and follow the laws, is very good for this nation.
- It is illegal and unchecked illegality promotes more illegal activity of all sorts.
- It creates an undocumented, illegal alien underclass of people in this nation who are preyed upon by other illegal, illicit elements in society.
- It creates a massive, unfunded burden on health care and education in this nation.
- It creates a scenario where employers are tempted to hire workers outside of the legal process, which itself creates very bad conditions. For example:
- It suppresses wages and opportunities for legal US workers.
- It subverts the tax, social security, and other legal process in place in the nation.
- It is used as a political lever to drive for legalization of illegal activity in an effort to "buy" the votes of those people given "amnesty," of any sort.
- Through #5 above, it subverts the political and election process in this nation.
Illegal immigration, where illegal aliens avoid and in fact subvert all of that is VERY BAD for this nation.
I believe a President who uses executive order to enact laws (which is Congresses responsibility) to in any way legalize illegal aliens, abjectly violates the President's oath of office. It should, IMHO, be immediate grounds for impeachment. It does not matter said President is white, black, yellow, brown, red or is a man or woman. The law applies equally to all.
...and it doesn't matter whether said President thinks it has taken too long to enact the reforms he/she seeks. Such an excuse simply amounts to a tacit admission that such a President cannot work with Congress and is unwilling to make the necessary compromises on his or her own position to allow for any reform. In such a case, the laws as written remain the same until appropriate laws can be enacted, or, through the constitutional process, an amendment is passed. Otherwise, it cannot mean that such a president can unilaterally violate the law and separation of powers clearly defined in the U.S. Constitution, to "go it on their own." Such an action would itself be illegal, and as I said, should lead to immediate impeachment.
I hope this helps.
Sincerely,
Jeff Head

One of those issues is the desire by this administration to legalize millions of illegal aliens who have violated the law in coming to this nation, creating all of the detrimental conditions (and more) I outlined.
Please urge your elected representatives in the US House and the Senate and your State officials, including the governors, to send a clear an unambiguous message to this administration that any use of executive orders to bypass congress in this matter will lead to impeachment and removal from office.
Sincerely,
Jeff Head

Its like standing in line to go inside a store and when the door opens, a mob comes along and pushes their way to the front of the line.
My wife knows people from the Philippines who waited 9 and 11 years to get into the US.
They are settling “refugees” in America by the tens of thousands and it is very detrimental to the country although it could be classified as “legal immigration”.
Excellent email response. If you don’t get a reply they either got the point or have given up trying to convince you.
The only people in Idaho who benefit from Illegals are large planters.
And what is our lesson for the day, children? — cheaters do win. You just have to be a large enough potential Democrat voting block and you can do pretty much anything you want.
This is becoming more and more of a fact. I am worried about all of the Obamacare cheaters. The same people who cheered when it was forced on us will now refuse to pay the mandatory “fee” while the rest of us law abiding fools will pay the fees, fines and extra taxes.
Love it here...here's a couple of pics for you. we are having what is going to make for a record breaking winter already.
Had a record November snowfall (from records extending back into those 1870s) last Thursday and Friday. 10 inches here in the Payette Valley and emmett. Then Sunday morning we had -7 degrees here. Another record set... lowest November temperature since records have been kept.
I thought you might be interested, so here's a few pics for you:
While the snow was flying:
And then, in the crystal clear weather in the cold days after the storm:
Enjoy!
On occasion, really good posts come along after I've made the daily ping. Jeff, you've given me cause to ping a second time, today. Thanks! :)
I loved that place and the people, I still thinkk of it as home.
Thank you my FRiend! The more the merrier!
Well, I am a native Texan...but SW Idaho is now home.
Our ten grandkids (and counting) know no other home for their Nanna and Papa. And it’s a good one.
The entire Intermountain West is still holding fast (with a feew exceptions) to the American ideal.
But I decided that my Grandkids would miss my corrupting political influence and NH has similar benefits, so I moved here.
I still miss the rolling hills and the upland forests, we have those but unless you have lived in Idaho you would not notice the difference.
Very pretty country Jeff......our sea of grass got an arctic blast Sunday ......melting off this afternoon.
I have memorized your response to share at the widget works.
Well done.....Stay Safe !!
He though that Obama himself in his book had indicated that illegal immigration was detrimental because it too American jobs.
And he was right. He responded back after he found the quote in Obama's book.
Here's his response:
JHSo there ya go. Found my Audacity of Truth page while looking for Obama's Audacity of Hope.
Thanks for response.
,br> Thanks for t'he expanded thoughts. I concur with most of what you have said.
I am near same on background with great grandparents arriving at Castle Garden early in US history. Pre steam engines.
My qüestion is related to a newscast Today -- It stated that t'he president in his Book stated that illegal immigration is a burden to t'he system.
I could not let It rest ... I did some searches and found your page -- Hoping you had read t'he Book and might recall what I thought I heard.
But I found it in "The Audacity of Hope"
Barry himself says illegal immigration threatens blue collar worker jobs.
Thanks
RL
Hehehe...hope a lot more find my page too.
Thanks my friend!
Stay warm down there.
We had 7 below yesterday morning and about 5 below today. It’s about 10 degrees out there now. Be headin home from work soon.
Bravo Zulu!
Legal immigration to USA about 27 years ago:
When I escaped from the other side of the Iron Curtin first 10 days I was put in quarantine (Austria). They had an interview with me and checked my background political story. I was granted temporary refugee status in Austria, but soon I had to chose a country to immigrate to, because Austria was closed down for refugees. The choices given to apply were in USA, Canada, South Africa or Australia. You could not apply for political refugee status in more than one country. USA was my choice because of the right to bear arms, and I thought that it would be the last bastion to stand against Communism.
The following had to be done:
1. Find an official sponsor or sponsor organization (i.e. Caritas), and upon acceptance sign the contract that we will pay back all expenses including air fair.
2. Make chest X-ray to be sure no pulmonary disease exist.
3. Blood test for venereal disease.
4. Fingerprints
5. Marketable skills.
6. No Communist membership.
7. Written declaration about my background, overall health, living close relatives, and why I chose America and what are my plans for the future.
8. Extended interview at the USA embassy in Vienna.
Fail at any of the above points meant no USA entry visa. It took about 11 months to get the approval. I found out that the delay happened because they had to process 10000 Chinese refugees who were in front of us.
Before leaving to USA we were bussed to a small town where we spent a few days for orientation about American culture, customs, etc. They were even teaching us the song titled New York, New York. Imagine people with different ethnicity from Eastern Bloc trying to sing in English. Well, we tried as best as we could.
Shortly after arrival to America I got the SS number and the Resident Alien card (Green Card). They said to everyone to avoid getting in conflict with the law because deportation will occur. Well, I was happy that I made it. After the Resident Alien card is issued you have to wait 5 years to have the right to apply for citizenship, which I did and obtained. Of course, you have to pass a written and oral exam about basic history, political structure, government, all in English to prove that you can read and write in English.
I wrote the above information to you in case someone in the future wants to know what is the difference between illegal alien invasion and legal immigration. If you assume by now that I am furious when I hear about amnesty you will guess it right. Also, every time I look at the ballots printed in different language I feel to scream out laud and want to forbid anyone to vote who can't read and write in English. What kind of citizenship exam did they take? Most likely the same happens with drivers license exams too. I took mine about 3 months in English after arrival to America. The preparation was a lot of work with extensive use of language dictionaries.
It is interesting, that we are seriously considering moving to Idaho and I was curious how it looks like winter time. Now you just published some pictures. Thanks. This summer we spent some time in Idaho Falls and then in a separate trip visited Boise. We like Boise but we have to visit again next spring.
