New York police were searching today for a man who pushed a 61-year-old man onto subway tracks, where he was killed by a train.
Wai Kuen Kwok, 61, was standing with his wife and waiting for a downtown train at a Bronx subway station this morning, when he was pushed off the platform, according to the New York Police Department.
Police said Kwok was killed this morning after being pushed into the path of an oncoming train at 8:44 a.m. Police confirmed that Kwok was pushed as he was waiting with his wife for a downtown train at the East 167 Street Station.
Kwok's wife was was unharmed, according to police. She was taken to a nearby hospital after witnessing the incident.
Witnesses told police they thought the suspect fled the subway station and escaped on a city bus, according to The Associated Press.

The sad thing is even if one were armed, they could not have defended themselves. Worse, if the guys wife were armed, highly unlikely in NYC, she would be in jail had she shot the SOB as he was running away.
I guess there were no cave cops on the scene.
The perp may have been, angry and frustrated, depressed and lonely, sad and on Methadone, full of rage at society, not getting what he is “entitled” to receive as benefits. This can push a man over to despair and cause him to just to lash out, kill a more privileged whitish man but even only we could have “saved” this poor victim beforehand, maybe he would have just played that “knockout” game instead...oh woe is me, why can’t we solve all of societies’ ills? Oh the poor diddums, what must have been going trough his tortured mind before he committed this desperate act. We need to find him, heal him, pay him and let him appear on talk shows, explaining his case...
RIP, Mr. Kwok. By all accounts of friends and family, you were a good man. I hope they catch your murderer quickly.

I’ve read the description of the suspect - everything is described except his race. I seem to remember NYC decided to stop using race as a descriptor a few years ago. Unbelievable.

I don’t know he most likely is a crazy person, delusional in some way, but from the still shot I saw he doesn’t look particularly young, or crazy, or homeless.
He looks like a very ordinary, middle aged, middle class black guy.
But you know I could be wrong, that’s just looking at one picture of the guy from some security camera so it’s not even at a very good angle.

Well, you can’t be thrown under the train while people are exiting. You have to be thrown under when the train is oncoming. I’m always amazed at people who stand on the yellow line. I usually stand near an iron pole, far in the back, and keep an eye out for nuts.
My mother was thrown off a platform in the 1940s. She was saved by other commuters.

They guy killed was Asian. He’s the 4th or 5th pushed in front of a train this year. Why isn’t the MSM talking hate crime?/sarc
