I think I just heard on the radio that he died. I can’t hear it that well from here so maybe I’m mistaken.

“The U.S. State Department said it helped facilitate the transfer of Salia; the U.S. Embassy in Freetown said he paid for the expensive evacuation. The travel costs and care of other Ebola patients flown to the U.S. have been covered by the groups they worked for in West Africa.”

Apparently this man was a permanent legal resident of the United States prior to his work in West Africa. No doubt the US has the capability to offer and perform this futile hugely expensive care, but it does not have the money. The Government continues to function on borrowed and printed money.

Yes just heard he died. Leaving behind his American wife and I think his 2 children.
To: yldstrk
I’ve read that the ebola death rate for those over 45 is 94%. Combine the late stage of the disease plus his age (I think 42), his chances were bleak no matter where he was.
Praying for his family. Seemed like a good guy. RIP in the arms of Jesus.
