I am pretty sure Langford’s first run was for GOP Mary Fallin’s vacated seat as she ran(and won)OK governor the first time. She just won re-election.
I’ve live in James Langford’s congressional district. The last Dem OK congressional district 5 elected was in 1974.
These days a D could not get elected to dog catcher in OK outside of a handful of state house minority districts around Tulsa, OKC and Lawton.
You are right, James is pretty solid conservative. Maybe as far right as anyone incoming the next congress.

My understanding is he didn’t have the money for yard signs or advertising for his first election and that’s why he used social media so much. A friend in Edmond has been keeping me informed on him and I think that’s what he said.
The Government shuts down for three days every holiday - does anyone notice? AND for two days every week of the year - I sure wouldn’t know if they are closed.
Obama made the “shut down” as painful and visible as possible. Chaining off open air Veterans monuments. Baracading parking lots where cars could pull off and look at scenic views and monuments, canceled meat inspections, etc.

Since he has no athletic ability, I would bet he has yet to break 90. Michael Jordan calling him a shi**y golfer was priceless. Odumbo getting all huffy about it was even funnier.
Jordan was simply saying his greatest foursome would be Arnold Palmer and not Obama was understandable, but Rashad went nuts.

Well yea, even more depressing is that the “media” have been trained like a bunch of seals balancing beach balls on their noses. The “pool” reports are now “edited” by the White House and also distributed, as a gratuity.
I am reading Sheryl Attkisson’s books “Stonewalled” and we are still in the “media has lost its mojo” part where she is essentially whining that the media has sold out lock, stock and barrel to not only their government masters but also the corporate side which pays the advertising fees. No criticism of pharmaceuticals, hospitals, bid bidness, government. Reporters soon learn that they will be ignored, left out, ?, if they do not play along. Their bosses tell them to not PO anyone, keep it light, happy, positive. no no no negative (bad, bad, bad).
Woodward is going around saying the same thing, “Why doesn’t someone DO something?”

Sharyl is not particularly political. She is not a conservative or anything but a cypher. She just got shut down down investigating things (Benghazi, Fast and Furious, Autism from inoculations, etc.) and says everyone one else is feeling it (e.g. Lisa Myers NBC forced out)
We’re just entering the open-enrollment period. I haven’t looked at anything yet, as I’ve been busy with other projects. Moda sent me a letter stating that my current policy was being discontinued & said they’d placed me on the one that most nearly matched the original (which is what I’d purchased after my insurance was cancelled when Obamacare was initiated). I’m just about ready to give up on insurance completely, adjust my taxes so I have to pay at year end & refuse to pay the fine.
How much do you want to bet that once 0bama’s out of office it will be revealed that his golf game is like everything else he does: slipshod, sloppy, crooked and based on lies?
Even detractors admit 0bama’s a good dad and husband. I don’t know if even that’s true. There’s just too much that’s unknown and 0bama is too secretive, including his personal life. It also seems strange that he and his wife fly on different flights going places. Why is that? And their dog isn’t allowed on that same flight? What’s up with that?
Plus, why is it that 0bama can’t seem to answer straight forward questions? Too many times he deflects an answer so he can talk to his staff first. WH advisers, czars, Valerie Jerrit, and various people he taps to get answers he should have off the top of his head. This one I blame the media/press on. They don’t seem to press him for real answers and allow him to ‘get back to them’ later. And there’s rarely a follow up question.
Exactly a far cry from what we have.
