New Jersey GOP Gov. Chris Christie has forged a reputation as an imposing lawmaker who can get the job done by sheer will and force. But his confrontational style also poses a liability should he make a 2016 White House bid -- attracting hecklers, political rivals and others intent on disrupting his message to spotlight their own.
Though Christies brash style has long been a topic for conversation, it has resurfaced amid political talk moving from the midterms to the next presidential election and Christie telling New Jersey resident Jim Keady to sit down and shut up.
Keady, who challenged Christie at a recent public event about his Superstorm Sandy recovery efforts, is a well-known activist.

This is the homepage headline. The headline above the article didn't fit or make much sense.
Christie as a big government liberal, which makes him a Democrat asset because he claims to be a republican. That guarantees a liberal win if he gets our nomination in 2016.
I have no dog in this hunt (I’m a Brit and a Canadian), but, if I did have, I would never have forgiven him for this:
combativeness with who? conservatives?
he just loves him some Bronco Bama
I'm with you. Implicitly endorsing the most dangerous enemy America has ever faced is unforgivable.
I've been saying for a long time that Christie's real motivation is that he wants to be the U.S. Attorney General. He'll be a major player in 2016 because he's a prolific fundraiser and a popular figure in the Northeast, and he'll leverage that into the AG position in a Republican administration (if its successful) in 2016.
Christi might call himself a Republican, and he did head-up the Rep. Governors’ group and campaigned for Reps.; but IMO the man is a farce (like Paul, Cruz, etc.).
I view him as a typical North Eastern pol, who will say anything to acquire/hold power. He’s like a sterotype gangster from the prohibition days of Elliot Ness.
He’s too prone to favor taking care of illegal aliens and supporting other liberal views for me.
...he’ll leverage that into the AG position in a Republican administration (if its successful) in 2016.

While I appreciate your view, AC, I think Trey Gowdy would be a much better AG than CC.
Maybe so, but Gowdy has to become a major player on the national scene before he has any stake in the game. You don’t get a cabinet-level position like that without building up a lot of favors over time.
Four people who hope lose early in the Republican primaries:
1. Jeb Bush
2. Mitt Romney
3. Chris Christie
4. Rand Paul
NO MORE RINOS!!!
He’s DOA.
“...but IMO the man is a farce (like Paul, Cruz, etc.).”
How are you finding Cruz among those you find farcical?
All I know is Tom Tancredo dislikes him intensely and that is good enough for me.
Tancredo charges Christie, as chairman of the RGA with sabotaging both him in the primary and Bob Beauprez in the general, thus handing the Colorado Governors race to Hickenlooper. Tancredo also claims, Christie and the RGA withheld money from Walker’s campaign in Wisconsin. He believes this is because Walker will also be in the hunt for the 2016 Presidential nomination.
1. Jeb Bush (the Bush name is politically dead)
2. Mitt Romney (Mr. Obamacare)
3. Chris Christie (too flaky)
4. Rand Paul (too unstable)
Christie is a liability to the human race!
Obola, the undocumented Moslem Impostor:
"You will eat the conservatives. Alive, if you must".
It is not his combativeness that is such a liability. In fact, I believe it may be an asset. It is his policies that are his liability.
There’s no way I’d support Christie, but who is your candidate?
His combativeness will not disqualify him, but the video of him walking down a beach, arm in arm with Obama would disqualify him every time it was replayed during the campaign. The last election was a vote against Obama, that vid will be toxic for Christie. He is toast.
