The White House must have thought Republicans in Congress would fall in line behind Speaker John Boehner and let President Barack Obama do what hes gotta do on executive amnesty for millions of illegal aliens. Politico reports that as Republicans have instead organized behind incoming Senate Budget Committee chairman Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-AL) to oppose the President, the Democrats and White Houseincluding Obama himselfare showing signs of weakness.
Obama showed his frustration during a press conference in Myanmar on Friday, Politicos Seung Min Kim and Carrie Budoff Brown wrote late Friday night.
They [Republicans] have the ability to fix the system, Obama said. What they dont have the ability to do is to expect me to stand by with a broken system in perpetuity.
Obama added that his vision of immigration reform is something that is way overdue. And weve been talking about it for 10 years now and its been consistently stalled.

Some suggestions from Newt Gingrich on how this can be handled:
I’m hoping and praying Hussein Obola goes down in flames on Amnesty. That Republicans get the cojones to defund any Obola Amnesty.
Many Dems and liberals are not in favor of illegal alien Amnesties and the Obama crew knows this. Republicans can win a Federal Govt shutdown over amnesty
Totally correct.
Dempire the comments here, Obama, or his handlers, are dangEros opponents even when wounded, and I fear McConnell and Boehner are not up to the game.
And mas you noted, groups like the US Chamber of Commerce, are lurking in the background with their campaign contributions.
“When these numbskulls had both house and senate they did nothing because if they did they would own it”
And the RATS excuse was that all their efforts went into Odungacare the first two years. And I say, ever heard of multitasking?. It’s not like they were busy reading the fricking 1200 page Odungacare bill.
From 100 miles away I knew the Big O was bluffing. The executive order will cause chaos, at best. Basically, EO amnesty is a grenade in the room, the nuclear option. But the idiots have been planning this crap for a long time.
In other words, to paraphrase the emminently classy Democrat President Lyndon Johnson: "We'll have them _______(fill in the blank) votin' Democrat for the next 200 years."
I’ll go one step farther. Bills must pass by a 2/3 majority or they fail. Would cut a lot this one party crap from happening. And if not much can be done? All the better.
It's been broken since 1963. Can we go back to the one before that? You know, the one that favors educated and literate people over manual laborers from the Third World - the way the rest of the smarter countries in the world do it?
I suspect Obama will lose and win at the same time...(Most of) The Republicans want amnesty as badly as Obama does...Their trick will be to show us how hard they worked to defeat Obama while giving him everything he wants...
And, I would add, have no enemies to their left. Republicans, on the other hand, loathe the Tea Party.
The Republicans represent big business...Big business wants amnesty...Big business funds the GOP...
Bttt
You are correct.
Un mentioned at present is the constantly repeated part of the Republican Immigration bill that there must be tight border security first with other provisions to follow.
The Republicans, GOPe and GOPc alike know with certainty that Obama will never enforce the border security provisions of a new law. We now have absolute proof of that treacherously deceptive and deceitful intent in the form of the Executive Order on amnesty.
“Conservative” stand??? How about AMERICA’S STAND? America is against executive amnesty.
NBC’s Obamacult “Today” show just had David Axelrod on, touting how awesome Obamugabe is.....it was thoroughly disgusting.
“The Republicans represent big business...Big business wants amnesty...Big business funds the GOP...”
Big Business also funds the Democrats. Big Business covers all of its bases.
Big Business likes Big Government. Big Government likes Big Business.
“They should be shaping the battlefield now. They should be educating the American people about why open borders cost them their jobs, their kids educations, their hospital treatment, their physical safety on the streets, their futures. The people should be educated about the constitutional system and why the power of the purse is in Congress.”
True, but sad. It should be the other way around. The people should be educated enough, and politically involved enough to be telling Congress what to do. “A republic IF we can keep it.”
You are both missing the point.
So long as Barack Obama is alive and President, there will be no border closure needed to stop the invasion. Until he is gone there can be no resolution to the illegal invasion problem.
It is just that simple
Very true and well said. Good post.
