"AUSTIN, Tx., November 13, 2014 A Texas state representative has introduced a bill to thwart enforcement of virtually all federal gun control measures within the state.
Introduced by newly re-elected Representative Tim Kleinschmidt (R-Lexington), House Bill 176 (HB176) declares all federal restrictions on the right to keep and bear arms to be invalid and not enforceable within the state of Texas. It reads, in part:
A federal law, including a statute, an executive, administrative, or court order, or a rule, that infringes on a law-abiding citizens right to keep and bear arms under the Second Amendment to the United States Constitution or Section 23, Article I, Texas Constitution, is invalid and not enforceable in this state..."

Gotcha covered ....no pun intended.
Stay safe !
Woo Hoo! I’m just waiting for Austin libs heads to explode in unison.
Try James Madison.
Get this passed and continue with more to keep DC out of Texas.
nullification, the next step is to move towards more active interposition. Such as harassing lawless federal agents.
Making their life difficult in Texas and opening them up to publish ostracism As people who would enforce “no law”.
As a culture we must inevitably come to recognize that the Federal Employees in black robes are lawless ideologues pronouncing dictatorial and inherent unconstitutional rule upon our people. All patriots must comdem and in whatever means possible oppose this behavior. Our states are tools and we should uses them in our fight against the tyranny of Washington as weapons and shields.
But the real fight is a cultural and political one our people must have their eyes opened to the Constitution as written so that they may see and know of the lies imposed by the clearly lawless powers that now sit On Washingtonians ‘court’.
In essence we must become martian Luther again and declare the evil abuses and usperations of this power over our Constitutions. Likewise with a religious level of devotion as patriots plegue our lives and liberty to the restoration of a Constitutional republic.
How can we Texans also escort these illegal aliens to the border in a persuasive and convincing way, explaining that they need to go home now?
Can Texas also ban the EPA?
We have way too much fedgov, there is no way to comply even if we wanted to.
Yer a Good Man, brother Squantos...

Trying to get Bryan to move to Texas...
This is the kind of news I love to hear-it needs to be only the first of many more reminders to the fed of that inconvenient thing called states’ rights...
“How can we Texans also escort these illegal aliens to the border in a persuasive and convincing way, explaining that they need to go home now?”
The same way any mass deportation occurs...at gun point.

May this mans tribe increase as his enemies and haters tribes decrease. Enough of congress scum dems and rino destroyers.
Yep, lets do this, and the same with any amnesty.
Yep, lets do this, and the same with any amnesty.
Barack has challenged the states to a fight. So they shouldn’t really be blamed if they fight.
Doesnt matter if its overturned. Rebellion is brewing
President “I’ll do what I want” is being greeted by State “I’ll do what I want.”
Next kick out the banking system and create your own. Then u have become free. Each state must create their own currency to get freedom from the world govt and the puppet presidents they place in America. We are going to have to get serious about freedom.States rights instead of rule from Europe.
The wording is clear...”not enforceable”...
So, your concern IS well founded, and part of me agrees with you on that...
This bill is designed to illicit a Federal response...The committee work that is lined up ready to get underway in January will set the tone...
My concern with this is if the Feds keep their mouths shut and not raise too much of a stink, I would probably be wondering what they might be up to about this...
If they get really vocal, and get the usual “state” whiners and cryers together and bitch about it while it is being debated...That too, will tell us a few things about how they will attack this state and its right to set and adhere to its laws...You know, that whole States rights thing that seems to be increasingly ignored by the Feds...
This is one to keep an eye on and watch its progress...I guess we have to find the bill number and see who is co-sponsoring this as well...Considering the process will be favorable for this to go all the way to the new governor for signature, and not just be enacted by the usual September 1st, 2015 date...
We should really keep track of this one...
HB176...
Oops...Muh bad...
Still the co-sponsors would be a good thing to see posted...
Thanks for the ping, Jim.
Pinging my Texas list - let’s all support this bill.
