Some of the most persecuted people on earth. Right next to Christians in the middle east and africa. Any mention of them?

I guess the call of his co-religionists was just too great.

Myanmars minority Rohingya Muslims are among the most persecuted people on earth... I don't suppose the authors have any evidence available to back up this claim...

The Burmese muslims are getting thumped because they started it. Now they have been given a deadline to hit the road. Memo to western countries.

Myanmars minority Rohingya Muslims are among the most persecuted people on earthI have no idea the answer to this, but how many have been beheaded in the last year?
To: Olog-hai
Christians are also a persecuted minority in Burma...but he failed to mention them (unless I somehow missed it).
But then Obama is not a Christian, so why should he care.
To: Olog-hai
Discrimination against the Rohingya or any other religious minority does not express the kind of country that Burma over the long term wants to be, Obama said, in response to a reporters question about the status of reforms in Myanmar...
How nice of The Won to speak for other nations.

The Burmese have reached the conclusion that Muslims do not share in their values, at all, and in past the Muslims sought to betray Burma to the Japanese. Likewise they want to tear off the part of Myanmar they live in and make it another home to Taliban types.
So the Burmese are now inviting the 1 million or so Muslims to leave. Unless they can show they have lived in Burma for 60 years or more, they are going to be deported.
http://www.nytimes.com/2014/11/07/world/asia/rohingya-myanmar-rakhine-state-thailand-malaysia.html?_r=3
So Myanmar is going the way of Angola, to outlaw Islam and kick out Muslims as being harmful to their society.
This makes you wonder what countries will be next to do this.

Perhaps they are seen in Burma for what they are, post WWII invaders of a Buddhist country.

Perfect example of why obaba gets no rspect:
Instead of bringing up the issue man/man w/ the Burmese leader he makes a quip on his way out the door.

Never heard of them. Seems they are a cause celeb on twitter or some shite. Apparently the Junta doesn’t like to call them by the name they claim for themselves, which appears to be recently invented.
The word Obama should have said is BURMA, the real name of the country.
