Rep. Walter Jones (R-NC) says impeachment should be on the table if President Barack Obama moves forward with executive amnesty. Speaking with Breitbart News Wednesday evening, Jones explained that should Obama move to unilaterally legalize undocumented immigrants, it would be a constitutional issue, not an issue to be solved by restricting funding, as some Republicans have floated. To me a constitutional question means that we have the option of impeachment, Jones said, explaining that he thinks the best option to confront Obamas executive amnesty would be impeachment. We have a Constitution, and I am very disappointed from year to year that we do not follow the Constitution. To me, if you think the president has violated his trust of office, meaning with the American people, then follow the Constitution, Jones added. The North Carolina Republican is no stranger to calls for impeachment, having at varying times seen impeachment as a way to deal with Obama on Obamacare and former President George W. Bush on Iraq. He voted against the Republican resolution earlier this year to sue the President over Obamacare because he said it would be kicked out. He told The Hill at the time that impeachment would be preferable if the GOP were serious about the issue. Jones further noted that he supported a resolution from former Rep. Dennis Kucinich (D-OH) to impeach Bush over Iraq. We continue to forget that we have a constitutional responsibility, and to me, look at the constitutional responsibility first before you look at something second, Jones said to Breitbart News, then stressed that he thinks Obama is a fine person.

If it fails, your Country is wholly and completely over and the last chance God seems to have granted us is gone. Thats the result of non impeachment too.
I see no down side because if it fails, we are Soviet/Muslim America forever and ever Amen.
Poisoning the well is correct on what planet?
I think...being honest is a pretty good thing.
Absolutely
His proposed EOs are unConstitutional!
Look at it this way. Do you think it is correct to express yout support for an idea by beginning with a negative?
We finally have this and I see one other back bench GOP saying in public that we should impeach. Why on earth does anyone feel that nipping that in the bud by shooting the messenger point blank is a good thing? Thats is the exact method DEMOCRATS use to manipulate their base.
They don’t need to impeach.
See this thread:

It’s a clean solution.
Bottom Line - the bills are going to pile up on his desk. Some will be overridden. Obola is going to set records for the number of vetoes.
We’re good. Doesn’t mean he can’t get us into a war we could lose, but he’s all done in terms of his agenda.
I just remember when Clinton skated, there was laughter across the land, Leftists convinced they were right that it was all politically motivated. There were more than a few in main stream Republican circles that thought the same thing.
Heck, the Senate Republicans supposedly the jury, simply refused to do their duty. This telegraphed to the public that the charges were idiotic in the first place.
Dole and other Republican leaders were a disaster.
I can see the need to give it the full treatment, but I’d be very surprised if you get 50% to vote for impeachment in the Senate.
Something may come along that convinced some Democrats to join the Republicans, but reaching the specific terms for impeachment, I’d be very surprised.
1+1 don’t make 2 in Washington, D. C. these days.
Logic, traditional morals, a code of ethics, the rule of law, the U. S. Constitution, the cornerstones of justice and fair play are blurred almost beyond recognition.
Yea we need to impeach because its what the founders wrote into the fabric of America from day one. Impeach if he acts in ways that warrant it. and he does that daily.
Your whole argument is based on one word. Fear. Thats how you/we get manipulated. Hind legs man. Stand on them.
Who’s going to impeach the Republicans when they pass their version of amnesty?
The GOP makes noise about executive amnesty and say they plan to pass their own bill if Obama doesn’t do anything.
Yea some of us tried reminding people about that but it didn’t seem to matter as long as as they ‘won’.
That’s how the noose tightens.
Long overdue
I don’t believe obama could do anything that would get him impeached.
Look folks, stop daydreaming a fantasy . reality check time is here.
The Republican Leadership for the last six years has FAILED to uphold the rule of law by REFUSING to hold accountable - a lawless regime that has usurped the rule of law with it’s own diktats, decrees and agenda. They have surrendered all moral and legislative authority to uphold their oaths to defend the Constitution.
Because they have surrendered their moral authority to uphold the rule of law - how can ANY OF US think that they can now assert the authority they have discarded???
If the GOP leadership is going to surrender the power of the purse to make sure the government does not shut down next year and thus remove the only weapon the legislature has to thwart tyranny and a despotic Executive, why would you allow yourselves dream up a false hope that if Obama decrees Amnesty they will impeach??
The evidence is already there. The GOP is NOT going to impeach. In fact, the GOP is NOT going to do a damn thing to stop or reverse what Obama and his party have done to us.
If the GOP cannot handle the demonization over a budget shutdown - what makes any of you think they are going to handle the demonizaton over impeaching the “first black president”?????
Pigs will fly and unicorns will fart skittles before impeachment ever goes beyond rhetoric with the leadership this nation is stuck with.
Dictatorships and oligarchies are not ended via civil means. Ever. And we have a partnership going on right in front of our faces that most refuse to acknowledge.
Norm, nature will take it’s course here.
It’s out of my hands. Decisions will be made with or without my support or agreement. I will be an observer like everyone else. Perhaps I will join a protest, or even a few.
At the end of the day, after all our effort, I don’t see this guy going down.
Just sayin’. I view him as a traitor. I believe he has violated his oath of office. I think he conspired with foreign nationals to hurt our nation via the flood of minors into our nation. There are so many other things too. He has committed fraud on the American public on numerous issues IMO.
I do not however think the worst charges will be leveled at him. It will wind up being a farce.
I remember the hearings in the 90s. I watched as things we knew about were either not presented or were laughed at.
Chelsea’s nanny (Helen Dickey) in Arkansas could have answered when she took the phone call alerting folks down there of Foster’s death. She was in the witness chair. I believe it was Dole (and memory may be failing me here) that was so flippant about her testimony, that he made what he thought were great one-liners and never even asked the question, then dismissed her as a witness.
I think she was asked questions elsewhere, and may have cleared this issue up, but that wasn’t testimony we were allowed to hear. I lost my faith on Congress doing diddly squat about much of anything back then. I haven’t been proven wrong with that mindset in 15 years.
I’m seeking to argue with you here. I’m just mentioning how I see it.
We’ll see how it goes.
Dead on correct. My only point is if we don’t go down swinging, we are the cowards they are.
“Im NOT seeking to argue with you here. Im just mentioning how I see it.”
Sorry about that.
Please, God.
