I was close to beginning this article by saying only in New York. Sadly, that’s not true. There are a number of states today with some truly horrible gun laws and attitudes toward Second Amendment rights. But the Empire State is still right up near the top of that list and this story won’t do much to improve our reputation.
Buffalo, New York police are now visiting the homes of those recently departed in search of firearms as part of a new plan to help keep tabs on local guns.
The move, put into effect by Police Commissioner Daniel Derenda, is described as an effort to stop firearms, specifically handguns, from winding up back in circulation and off the books.
“We recently started a program where we’re cross referencing all the pistol permit holders with the death records, and we’re sending people out to collect the guns whenever possible so that they don’t end up in the wrong hands,”

You got me there. I didn’t pick up on the illegality of the dual registration. I was focusing on the comfort the guy seemed to have with jumping through hoops (and lack of sympathy for anybody unsophisticated enough to navigate the hoops). ]
The NAZIs ALSO had forms for sending people to the camps too, the fool who commented onthe article would have been right at home filling one out before walking to the gas chamber!

In the past it didn’t have to BE in the Constitution because it was NATURAL LAW, ie. COMMON SENSE that the Heirs you know InHEIRited property from the dying person and NOT THE FRICKIN STATE!!!

They don’t CARE what amendment they can TWIST and PERVERT to justify their POLICE STATE....
As long as they can twist and pervert at LEAST ONE of them....
That is the way I looked at it. Unfortunately, there is nothing I could do about it.
