People are funny that way. They cling to their bibles and guns. And then if you declare war on them, they don’t want to vote for you.
Coal-heavy districts in West Virginia, Kentucky and Illinois that had been steadily moving away from Democrats in recent elections appear to have completed that shift Tuesday, when they overwhelmingly backed Republicans who vowed to oppose what they call President Barack Obamas war on coal.
In West Virginia, once a long-time Democratic stronghold, Republicans will take control of both houses of the state legislature for the first time since 1931. Republicans picked up seven seats in the state Senate to bring the balance to 17-17, and then Democrat Daniel Hall switched parties Wednesday to give the majority to the GOP.
Voters there also elected Rep. Shelley Moore Capito as their first GOP senator in 56 years, and Republicans won three congressional contests, even kicking out 38-year incumbent Rep. Nick Rahall.
Dems decided to get rid of coal. West Virginia decided to get rid of Dems.
It’s one of those blowback things that liberals are really good at explaining when it’s Muslims chopping heads, not so good at understanding when it’s Americans voting for Republicans.
Time was, someone with that sort of sh!t for brains would be working in a chicken plucking factory, not heading a major political party.
But this is what you eventually get when the dominant players in your party choose a path that celebrates and promotes a perverted lie like Socialism.
I agree, Debbie and her Democrats are as brain-washed and mind-numbed as the followers of any other vile and disgusting death cult.
At the root of that problem and many other tyrannical moves is the EPA. Time to rein them in or send them home.
You'd better wake up the Somalis and the Liberians living there, too.
It took more than just the East Side of Pennsylvania to elect the new Democrat Governor.

I would say that my home county (Allegheny) is also a pretty significant part of the problem. In addition tot he gibsmedats, we have a whole lot of older people who really should be voting Republican. They don’t because they were always taught that “Democrats are the party of the working people,” and “Union members should vote Democrat,” and assorted crap like that. They fail to realize that the Dems they vote for today are not Dems like Truman and Kennedy (who I honestly believe would fit more into the Republican party today, albeit probably as RINO’s), but rather loony moonbat lefties.
Actually it didn't.
Three southeastern corner counties gave him all the cushion he needed. Philadelphia, Delaware and Montgomery Counties provided Wolf a net plus 372.000 votes. Wolf carried PA by a net positive 339,000 votes. The city of Philly and those 3 collar counties put Wolf over the top, without them Corbett would have won by 30,000 votes.
Further proof that SE PA is a vile cesspool that belongs in New Jersey.
