that appeals to all Americans on so many levels...
THEN..start the ground game NOW!
Here we go....It is disingenuous for this country to “send them all back”, when for whatever reason, we LET them in for decades. Plus mass deportation wont work.
Seal the border.
Deport the criminals.
Give those working a work visa.
AND CUT OFF WELFARE AND MEDICAL CARE AND MILLIONS WILL SELF-DEPORT!
I love that fact that gas prices are trending down, and electric prices are rising.
To all those Progressive greenies that bought electric cars....SUCKERS

Massholes, from Massivestupits.”
Why vote for more Romeycare duplicates. They already saw this play once before
You seem to be buying into the liberal, pro-amnesty crap. The proponents of amnesty are wont to create the false choice between a blanket amnesty and mass deportation of 12 to 20 million illegal aliens. In reality, we have other choices and alternatives that dont reward people who have broken our laws with the right to stay and work here and an eventual path to citizenship. The 12 to 20 million illegal aliens did not enter this country overnight and they will not leave overnight. Attrition through enforcement works. We have empirical data from Georgia, Oklahoma, Alabama, and Arizona proving that it does.
Seal the border. Deport the criminals. Give those working a work visa.
Secure the border, yes, but 40% of the illegals got here legally and overstayed their visa. We need better interior enforcement.
Who defines who is a criminal and what offenses warrant deportation? The Obama administration claims that this is their policy now. The overwhelming majority of the lawbreakers have committed multiple crimes. Do we deport those who used bogus or stolen SSNs? those who are guilty of tax evasion? Here are some laws most have violated that are felonies:
False Personation of a U.S. Citizen (18 U.S.C. § 911). Illegal aliens often present themselves as U.S. citizens, an act punishable by up to five years in jail, a felony. This law is often cited in immigration prosecutions and may involve, for example, an alien claiming U.S. citizenship to his employer.
Fraud and False Statements (18 U.S.C. § 1001). It is common for illegal aliens to make false statements to the government or on official documents. An illegal alien violates this law when claiming to be a U.S. citizen on an I-9 Employment Eligibility form and faces a fine and up to five years imprisonment.
Social Security Fraud (42 U.S.C. § 408). This statute has been invoked where an illegal alien provided a false Social Security number for the purpose of acquiring a job, where an illegal alien used a fraudulent Social Security number for the purpose of acquiring a driver's license, and when an illegal alien used a Social Security card belonging to a citizen in order to obtain Section 8 housing, for example. Violation of this statute can result in a fine and/or imprisonment up to five years. The court can also require violators to provide restitution to the victims.
Why must we issue them work permits that allow them to compete legally against US workers? Why should the lawbreakers be allowed to stay and work here, the object of their crime? How fair is it to the 4 million intending legal immigrants waiting their turn overseas to enter this country having filled out the paperwork and paid the various administrative fees? What kind of message does this send to others wanting to enter this country? Get here and eventually you will be legalized? When you reward something, you get more of it.
AND CUT OFF WELFARE AND MEDICAL CARE AND MILLIONS WILL SELF-DEPORT!
They are not entitled to welfare now except thru their US born children. And they can't be turned away for medical treatment at our ERs. And do you allow those who you want to legalize thru a work permit to avail themselves of Obamacare subsidies? Will they be subject to the individual mandate? Most of them will probably qualify for Medicaid.
I see no urgency to legalize the lawbreakers. They are already here. Why reward them?
Haha, the WSJ is too socialist for my stuff. It would make the editors’ heads explode. Thank you, I appreciate it and glad I spoke for you.
GOOD.. forgot about that one.
thanks for your post..It is very helpful.
I agree with attrition through enforcement. My post did not offer the either amnesty or mass deportations concept.
ER treatment obviously will be accepted..but the slow changes of reducing the welfare impact will help. So will holding employers accountable, which we have not yet.
I think the best way to deal with this is to piecemeal dismantle all “positives” benefits and chip away at what we tolerate now as you outlined, along with the border being secured. I think the majority of Americans would NOT have a problem with money appropriated to start the serious border enforcement and enforcing the employers being held responsible for hiring illegals. Then also deporting those who have overstaye dtheir visas.
That does not create the Drama of sending entrenched families of several generations back on buses, which the media would use to stop ANY changes.
